Gertrude A. Reer, 95, of Monroeville, passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Kalida, Ohio. Gertrude was a 60-plus year member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville, where she was a very active volunteer. She was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, and had helped with funeral luncheons in the Church Social Hall. Gertrude loved her family and was so proud of each one of them. She also enjoyed feeding the birds in her back yard.
She is survived by her three children, Jerry Reer of Bellevue, Judy Bradford of Monroeville, and Steve (Karen) Reer of Norwalk; 10 grandchildren, Don (Joyce) Reer, Dennis (Debbie) Reer, Dan (Sonya) Reer, Mike Reer, Zac (Lisa) Reer, Ty (Juli) Reer, Matt Reer, Theresa Reer, Beth (Charlie) Clark, Becky (Nick) Lesch; 19 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Rose Reer of New Washington; one sister, Dorothy Hauler of Monroeville; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Reer in 1980; two sons, Lewis Reer in infancy, and Don Reer in 2012; one grandson, Joshua Reer in 1979; her parents, William and Clara (Ramp) Smith; five brothers, Steve, Walt, Rudy, Edward, and Arthur Smith; one sister, Louise Stieber; and one son-in-law, Larry Bradford.
Friends may call 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel St., Monroeville. Rev. Ronald A. Schock will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.

Obituary:
BRADFORD L. BEAN age 60 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away unexpectedly Monday morning January 19, 2009 at his home.
He was born January 3, 1949 in Lansing, Michigan a son to the late Louis and Betty (Clark) Bean.
Brad had resided in Sturgis since 2004 coming from Howe, Indiana. He had also resided in Green Bay, Wisconsin for over 15 years.
He was currently employed as the manager of the Manor Apartments of Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis. He had owned and operated Edison�s Memory Stereo Shop and also had been employed for several years at the N.E.W. Zoo in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
He was an active and dedicated member of the Whole Life Christian Fellowship Church in Sturgis.
Brad was a veteran of the Viet Nam War serving in the U.S. Marine Corp earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed music and had been involved in Theater work.
Brad is survived by his Daughter; Nikole (William) Gaigg of Fremont, Wisconsin, Four Grandchildren; Joshua, Thomas, Valerie and Juliana, One Brother; Jeff (Anne) Bean of Flint, One Nephew; Malcolm Bean of Flint and Alison Bean of Los Angeles, California whom he considered to be his second daughter.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday at the *Hackman Family Funeral Homes � Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. A memorial service celebrating the life of Brad Bean will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Whole Life Christian Fellowship Church, 1420 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis. The Rev. Charles Vizthum will officiate. Entombment of the ashes will follow the service at the Oak Lawn Columbarium at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis where full military rites will be conferred by Captain John J. Kelley Post #1355 VFW and the U.S. Marine Corp Honor Guard.

Timothy J. Schroeder, 54, of Ottoville, died 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born September 25, 1956 in Lima to Justin and Kate (Fenbert) Schroeder who survives in Leipsic. He had been married to Janelle (Beining) Schroeder of Ottoville. His fianc�ee, Marcia Matson survives in Ottoville.
Also surviving are 4 children: Jason (Carrie) Schroeder of Ottawa, Todd (Janelle) Schroeder of Ft. Jennings, Melissa Schroeder of Ottoville and Rodney Schroeder of Ottoville; 2 grandchildren: Nolan Schroeder and Aiden Schroeder and a grandchild on the way; 3 sisters: Beverly (Keith) Dewar of Leipsic, Rebecca (Steve) Schnipke and Barbara (John) Beining both of Ottawa; four brothers: Keith �Cojak� (Nancy) Schroeder, Bruce (Teresa) Schroeder and Brad �Slick� (Jill) Schroeder all of Leipsic and Philip �Flip� (Natalie) Schroeder of Findlay; and a sister-in-law, Jean (Gary) Nienberg of Miller City. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Gregory, Frederick and Matthew Schroeder.
Tim was owner/operator, along with his sons, of Schroeder Steel in Ottoville. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, a member of the Wannemacher Pool League, Ottawa Eagles, and a social member of Ottoville VFW. Tim loved spending time with his children, grandchildren other family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, with Fr. John Stites officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary�s Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (on the corner of St Rts 224 & 634) where a scripture service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or St. Mary�s Cemetery.
