Elmer Kruse Elmer J. Kruse, 75, of 3669 Indian Rd., died Sunday in Toledo Hospital. He was a carpenter more than 50 years, retiring in 1977. Surviving are his wife, Adeline; son, Roger, daughter, Mrs. Alice Bum): brother, Virgil, and sister, Mrs. Rovena Schroeder. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Gesu Church. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Coyle Mortuary, Reynolds Road, where the body will be after 7 tonight.

ROVENA J. SCHROEDER, 98, died at 3:50 a.m. Nov. 13, 2006, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born June 16, 1908, in Ottawa to Henry and Kate Krieger Kruse, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 7, 1934, she married Richard H. Schroeder, who died Dec. 10, 2002.
Mrs. Schroeder was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2793 Auxiliary, Leipsic, and the Ottawa Senior Citizens, Ottawa. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and traveling with her husband.
Survivors include a son, Norman (Evelyn) Schroeder, of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Randy (Pam) Schroeder, Annette (Bur) Warren and Julie (Daryl) Brooks; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan Schroeder, Erin Schroeder, Derek Warren, Lacy Warren, Jasmine Warren, Lee Brooks and Lane Brooks; and a great-great-grandchild, Jaden Warren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Leon Schroeder; and two brothers, Virgil and Elmer Kruse.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic. Father George Wenzinger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Adeline C. Kruse. age 90 years of Emmick Drive. died Saturday eve-ning, June 7, 1997, in her home.
Mrs. Kruse was a retail sales clerk at the former Lamson's Department Store for 15 years and retired in 1971. She was a member and a former Regent of the Daughters of Isabelle. the St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary and was a long standing member of Gesu Church and its former Womans Sodality.
The widow of Elmer J. Kruse, she Is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Alice (Dr. Rolando) Buan of Tomah, WI; son, Roger E. Kruse of Toledo; 4 grandchildren, Michael Buan, Michelle (Michel) Edery, Douglas and Jennifer Buan; and 1 great granddaughter. Hayley Mae Edery; and brother, Virgil (Lottie) Gerschutz. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 So. Reynolds Rd., where a Scripture Service will be held Tues-day evening at 7 p.m. Funeral from mortuary Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at 10:15 a.m. to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Gesu Church at 11 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery.

Obituary:
Chesaning, April 29 - William Lemper died at his home, Thursday after an illness of two weeks of typhoid fever, aged 58 years. He was born in Germany and came to America with his parents when three years old. Nov 12, 1889, he married Magdaline Wortman at Glandorf, OHio, and 14 years ago came to Chesaning and lived on the Peet road on a farm where his wife died two years ago. He then moved to town. He is survived by six children, Mrs John Studer, Chesaning; Mrs. James Sullivan of Lansing; Mrs Anthony Bitterman of New Lothrup; Loretta of Lansing and Armelia and William at home.
