SHEPHERD - Ferdinand Kramer, 60, died July 1, 1952 at Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago. Mr. Kramer was custodian at the Dow Chemical company before his illness.
He was born July 16, 1891 in Fort Jennings, Ohio, the son of Frederick and Katherine Kramer.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul church of Shepherd.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 a. m. from St. Vincent de Paul church in Shepherd. Rosary service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday from the Garber funeral home. Garber is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving is his wife Elizabeth Mary Doepker Kramer; three brothers, Ed of Detroit, Barney and Fritz of Fort Jennings, Ohio, and one sister, Mrs. Anne Schimmler of Fort Jennings.

Darlene Bruskotter, aged 79, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, February 11, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, James and daughter, Linda Williams. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie (Larry) Conn of Clarklake, Laura (Steve) DeKam of Byron Center; her grandchildren, Jeff, Joni, P.J. and Jenny; seven great-grandchildren. A Service of Christian Burial will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Wyoming), 4031 Clyde Park S.W. with Fr. Phong Pham presiding. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Internment Resurrection Cemetery. Though words are inadequate, her family offers sincere thanks for the loving care given to Darlene by the wonderful people at Waldon Woods Retirement Home and Spectrum Health Hospice. Frieda Marie Mazzoni, born Sept. 4, 1923, to John and Christine Bruskotter in Shepherd, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2005, following a pulmonary illness in Chico, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvio Mazzoni. Her survivors include her sons, John (Anne) Mazzoni of Paradise, Calif., Michael Mazzoni of Las Vegas, Nev., Ted (April) and their children, Sandra, Serina, and Alexander Mazzoni of Holt and Dennis (Luanne) and their children, Marc and Jenna Mazzoni of Buffalo, N.Y.
Frieda was raised in Michigan and enlisted in the Navy during World War II where she met Sylvio. They married and raised their four sons in Sanford. She was a baker for the Michigan Public Schools for 15 years, retiring in 1985 and moving to Paradise, Calif. Frieda was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Paradise Hospice Thrift Store. Golf was her retirement passion, highlighted by her "hole in one". Frieda will be remembered for her friendly beautiful smile and spunky spirit.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005, at the St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Sanford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors.

Anna, 84, of Carson City, passed away Thursday, at the Laurels of Carson City with her family by her side. She was born in Shepherd but was raised in St. Louis the daughter of Andrew and Julia (Vorcak) Komperda.
Anna married Charles S. Bruskotter in November 1953 in St. Louis, he preceded her in death on 1969. She enjoyed music, dancing, snowmobiling, gardening, traveling and was considered an outstanding baker. Anna was a devout Christian.
She married Harry O. Baker, Jr. of Lansing in November 1970. Together, they ran Baker Marina in Butternut for many years where they also resided. Anna loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Tyler, son of Mark and Ronda (Meinhardt) Bruskotter.
Anna is survived by her husband, Harry Baker, three children, Cindi (Phil) Shaftner of Lansing, John Bruskotter of Sheridan and Mark (Ronda) Bruskotter of Sheridan, a grandson, Tyler Bruskotter of Sheridan, a sister, Antoinette Kanitz of Crystal and a brother, Walter Komperda of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Charles and two brothers, Paul and Joe Komperda.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Crystal Church of the Brethren with Rev. Charles Krueger officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
