Columbus Grove � LaDonna Rose (Youngpeter) Siefker, 91 of Columbus Grove died 8:34 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Rita�s Inpatient Hospice, Lima. She was born October 24, 1925 in Spencerville to the late Adam Edward and Dina Carolina (Oelhof) Youngpeter. On May 21, 1947 she married Laverne Clarence Siefker, who preceded her in death on March 28, 2014
She is survived by her children: John (Marilyn) Siefker of Columbus Grove, Diane (Ken) Cooper of Edgewood, KY, Dennis (Deb) Siefker of Columbus Grove, Ron (Angie) Siefker of Lima, Eugene (Ruth) Siefker of Columbus Grove, Bill (Janet) Siefker of Celina, Karen (Bill) Niese of Leipsic, Joyce (John) Sharrits of Columbus Grove and Linda (Tim) Schroeder of Glandorf; 33 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way; and a brother Gene (Jane) Youngpeter of Spencerville.
LaDonna is preceded in death by a daughter: Laura Siefker; 2 brothers: Stanley (Helen) Youngpeter and Robert Lee Youngpeter; and 2 great-grandchildren: Griffin and Stella Warniment.
LaDonna was a register nurse and worked for Dr. Moody in Vaughnsville and then for the Putnam County Health Department. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the C. L. of C. and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Columbus Grove. She was a member of the Spencerville VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Putnam County Cancer Board, the Sugar Creek Chairman of the Cancer Drive, the Putnam County Health Department Advisory Board and the Vaughnsville Community Board.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove with Father Tom Extejt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Columbus Grove where a rosary service will be held Tuesday evening at 8 p.m.

Vaughnsville -- Laverne C. �Pud� Siefker, 94, of Vaughnsville died 9:20 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 surrounded by his family at the Meadows of Kalida. He was born April 24, 1919 in Kalida to the late John Bernard and Anna Marie (Saum) Siefker. On May 21, 1947 he married LaDonna Rose Youngpeter, who survives in Vaughnsville.

Laverne is preceded in death by an infant daughter: Laura Ann Siefker; 2 great-grandchildren: Griffin and Stella Warniment; an infant brother: Aloysius Siefker; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law: Raymond (Mary) Siefker, Wilbert (Miriam) Siefker, Richard (Mildred) Siefker and Harry (Rose Marie) Siefker; and 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Cyrilda (Leo) Grote and Rosena (Steve) Verhoff.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Columbus Grove. Laverne was a retired farmer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Tom Extejt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, 211 Veteran�s Drive, Columbus Grove. There will be a scripture service 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude�s Children�s Hospital or to the donor�s choice.

OTTAWA - Dennis Deters, 55, of Ottawa, died at 7:06 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born March 15, 1959 in Lima to the late Harold and Catherine (Maag) Deters. On November 5, 1983 he married Karen Walker who survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are 3 children: Lindsay (Tyler) Schroeder of Cincinnati, Stephanie Deters of Stamford, CT., and Tyler Deters of Columbus; and a brother: David Deters of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Connie Sue Deters and Carol Recker.
Denny was an engineer for Ford Motor Company and had previously worked for Cooper Tire Company, Bowling Green. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, the Ottawa Eagles, and Ottawa Knights of Columbus. He loved watching the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Denny also enjoyed brewing his home made beer and sharing it with his family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday and 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

HARRIS, Constance Maxine Connie- Age 79, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, December 11, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, December 15, 2005 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home; Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek from 5-9 PM Tuesday and 1-9 PM Wednesday. A vigil service will be held 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Those desiring may make contributions to Food Bank of Eastern Michigan 2310 Lapeer Road, Flint, MI 48503. Mrs. Harris was born July 7, 1926 in Flint, the daughter of George L. and Rosina T. (Mangold) Cook. She was a 1943 graduate of Kearsley High School and attended GMI Business School. She had resided in Swartz Creek since 1961 coming from Flint and retired in 1987 from GMSPO as a computer programmer after 34 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, IBG Retirees, Car Club, Flint Travel Club. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, casinos and bowling. Surviving are: 3 children, Richard E. Elizabeth Mary Dague
Elizabeth Mary passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Masonic Pathways in Alma. Age 90 years. She was born June 22, 1924 in St. Charles to Andrew and Mary Czuba. Mary married Robert Doyle Dague on February 2, 1946. He preceded her in 1995. She worked alongside her husband at Dague Dri-Gas for many years. Mary was a member of the St. Charles United Methodist Church where she participated in many of the activities. She was an avid bowler, quilter, polka dancer and loved to listen to her polka music. Mary also enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards, cooking and baking. While at Masonic Pathways her most joyous days were playing bingo, ceramics, attending programs and visiting with her family.
Surviving are three daughters, two sons and spouses, Marguerite (Steve) Bigelow of Vestaburg, Lorraine (Bernie) Traut of Buffalo, MN, Janeen Bakus of Newnan, GA, Keith (Patty) Dague of St. Charles, and Rick (Mary) Dague of St. Charles; grandchildren, Jason (Sharyl) Bigelow, Erin Bigelow, Nathan (Katie) Traut, Jennifer (Brian) Chaltry, Ashley Dague, Nick Dague, and Andy Dague; great-grandchildren, Michael Simmons, Amber Bigelow, Lucas Traut, Oliver Traut and one great-great-granddaughter Addelyn due in July; a sister, Ann Gnatkowski; sister-in-law Gladys Bell; brother-in-law, George Lorencz and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters and a son-in-law.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. Pastor George Showers will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw. The family will receive visitors at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Charles United Methodist Church or the St. Charles Library.

James Koontz, 86, of Jerry City, Ohio, passed away Saturday June 14, 2014.
James was born on November 26, 1927 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Clyde and Lila (Frankfather). He married Ruth Woessner in the Rudolph Christian Church in 1951 and she preceded him in death in July of 1981.
Surviving James is his daughter: Sherry Burns, of Jerry City, Ohio; a son: Dave (Cindy) Koontz, of Florida, grandchildren: Jamie (Jerrame) Allgire, of Bloomdale, Ohio; Kerry (Aubrie) Koontz, of Bloomdale, Ohio; Jill (David) Pugh, of Bowling Green, Ohio; great grandchildren: Brendan, Kristopher and Cameron Essex, Alyssa Allgire and former wife Susie Kohli, of California.
Along with his parents and first wife, James was preceded in death by former wives: Andi Koontz and Marion (LeBlanc) Koontz; a son-in-law: Randy Burns; brothers: Richard, John and Robert Koontz and a sister: Kathryn Finkenbiner.
James was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and later attended Bowling Green State University. James served in the United States National Guard as a driver. James was the Vice President of the Bank of Wood County and served as the Vice President of the Huntington National Bank of Bowling Green until his retirement, he also was the former business owner of the BG Press Company until he sold the company in the late 1960's. James was a former member of the Bowling Green Kiwanis and the Bowling Green Rotary. He was a member of various organizations in many states including the Michigan Moose Lodge, Tucson, Arizona Moose Lodge, The Bowling Green Elks, the Eagles in Michigan and the Tucson, Arizona American Legion. James enjoyed the social interactions the various clubs offered especially the dances that were held. James was an avid blood donor for the American Red Cross.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Stadium View in the Juniper Hall, 1700 Juniper Drive, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
