Obituary:
Joan M. Brinkman, 47, died Aug. 31, 2010, at her residence.
She was born June 21, 1963, in Lima to Albert F. and Edna M. Karhoff Michel. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Glandorf. On April 27, 1985, she married Randall G. Brinkman, who survives in Glandorf.
Mrs. Brinkman was a respiratory therapist at Lima Memorial Health System. She was a 1981 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and a graduate of Lima Technical College. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, and its Altar Rosary Society, where she had served as president. She was a member of the Glandorf Fireladies Auxiliary, Glandorf, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2234, Ottawa. She enjoyed her Friday night solo club and was an avid golfer. She was physically active and proud of her 5K runs.
Survivors also include a daughter, Jessica Brinkman, at home; two brothers, Bruce G. Michel, of Forest, and Kevin (Cindy) Michel, of Delphos; two sisters, Sharon (Jere) Drerup, of Ottawa, and Brenda Michel, of Glandorf.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Father Tony Fortman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery
