William "Bill" M. Wortman, 54, of Liberty St., Findlay, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2005, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.
Bill was born on March 27, 1950, in Findlay, OH to Robert and Mary Lou (Day) Wortman, and they survive him. On April 17, 1971, he married the love ut his life, Karen D. Leddy in Findlay, and she survives him.
He is also survived by five children, Drew A. Wortman, Karen Nicole (Ray III) Parmelee, Erin L. Wortman, Jim T. Wortman and Joshua M. Wortman; a granddaughter, Madeline J Parmelee; four brothers, R. David, John, Jim and Paul, and two sisters, Amy (Glenn) Opp and Sarah (Steve) Russell. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Andrew Wortman.
Bill graduated from Findlay High School and Canada College in Redwood City, CA. He was a sergeant in the 1st Marine Division serving his country proudly in Vietnam in 1969-1970. He managed Jeans Plus in Findlay from 1976-1983, was an insurance agent for Wortman Insurance, Massachusetts Mutual and Bill Wortman Insurance. Bill installed recreational and fencing equipment and was President of Bill Wortman Enterprises, Inc which distributed consumer products. Bill proudly officiated boys and girls high school basketball and was a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 23, 2005 from 1.4 and 6.8 p.m. at Rawson Funeral Chapel, Findlay.
Funeral Services with be held Monday, January 24, 2005 at 10 a.m. Reverend Ben Borsay officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery where the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will be performing. Glen L. Opp, Sr. age 78, of Rawson, died at 12:11 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Glen was born on April 1, 1932, to the late Emmett W. and Cleo May (Baxter) Opp in Findlay. Glen was raised by his stepfather, Roy Eschbach and mother, Cleo. He married Nancy J. Heminger (otherwise known as "Miss Nancy") on November 2, 1952, and she survives.
Glen is also survived by three sons: Duke (Christine) Opp of Rawson, Glen, Jr. (Amy) Opp of Arvada, CO and Timothy (Kim) Opp of Mt. Blanchard, OH; daughter, Anne (James) Hayes of Findlay; brother, Ercil (Mary) Eschbach of CA; sister, Ruth Diedrick of Grand Rapids, OH; grandchildren: Luke Opp; Jennifer (Michael) Jackson; Matt (Liliane) Opp; Jordan Opp; Jared (Mercela) Opp; Kimberly Fritz; Christopher, Alexandra, Taylor and Rebecca Opp; Ryan and Megan Hayes; Nathan Rader and Alyssa Hayes. Four great-grandchildren, Jadelyn and Angelo Jackson; Owen Opp and Ethan O'Keefe also survive. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Franklin, Emmett "Duke", Vernon, Samuel, and Charles Opp and sister, Genevieve Betcher.
Glen was a 1950 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. After high school Glen worked at Cooper Tire and Rubber. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War stationed in Korea. Upon return, he went to work for the Rawson Hardware later purchasing the hardware, Hoch Hardware Plumbing and Heating. During his years at the hardware, he enrolled at Findlay College. Following graduation, he began his teaching career. Glen taught in the Fostoria Public School System and was the Coordinator for the Fostoria City Adult Education Program. From 1974-1989, he was lay minister at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Glen served 2 terms as Rawson's Mayor during the 60's. He was currently a city worker for the Village of Rawson in the maintenance department.
Glen was a 33rd Degree Mason and a member of the Supreme Council of North America, Lexington, MA. He held memberships in the Masonic Blue Lodge of Rawson #418, Scottish Rite of Toledo, Zenobia Shrine, and High 12 Masonic Luncheon Club of Fostoria. Glen especially favored his position as Secretary of the Midwest Conference of Masonic Education. He attended the Rawson United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will be held from 1-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 and one hour prior to the service (10-11 a.m.) Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lee Cemetery, Amanda Twp., Hancock Co. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice in Glen's memory.

Ortho L. Fox, Jr. of Lima, died 3:33 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2013 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born January 8, 1935, in Lima, to Ortho L. and Norma B. Dankirt Fox, Sr.; both parents preceded him in death. On August 30, 1955 he married Jean C. Janeway, who survives in Lima.
Ortho was owner of Lima Motor Sales. He was a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church and of the F.O.P.A, Lima Chapter. He loved to travel with his wife, and was a collector of miniature cars, watches and knives.
He is survived by 3 Children Debbie (Ron) Reed of Lima, Ohio, Rick L. (Mardie) Fox of Whitelaw, Wisconsin, and Brenda (John Wortman) Fox of Lima, Ohio; 6 Grandchildren Ron (Brandy) Reed,Tricia Reed, Ricky (Heather) Fox, Khristina (Al) Hilty, Eddy Rader, Rebekah Rader and 4 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister Beverly Gonzales
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July7, at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, from 2- 4 and 6 � 8 p.m.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, at Cridersville United Methodist Church. Rev. Charles Martindell will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cridersville United Methodist Church.
