Obituary:
William C. Hester 74, of Charlotte, Michigan, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Mr. Hester was born June 27, 1932, in Henderson, KY, the son of William and Kathryn (Smith) Hester. Mr. Hester was a talented man for having raised himself since his mother passed away when he was seven. He developed skills as a bricklayer and carpenter, and later worked as a long distance truck driver, until his retirement from K-mart Corporation. He loved scenic drives down back roads, being in control of the TV-clicker, and 'manning the grill' for gatherings with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Eva; son William (Kris) Hester, Jr. of Charlotte; daughters, Kathy (Ronald) Sullivan of Dimondale, Cheril Lynn Story and (Lynn Glasslee) of Battle Creek; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and brother, Roger Hester of Evansville, IN. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Charles. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Mark Woodbury officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Kalamo Township. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
