Obituary:
Mark Richard Jean was born October 23, 1969 and passed away on October 21, 2020 after a battle with cancer . He is he son of Ronald E. Jean and Mary V. (Neal) Jean.
Mark graduated from Grand Blanc High School and from Saginaw Valley State University. Mark attended Spring Arbor University in the Masters program with a goal of becoming a School Guidance Counselor. Mark was known to be happiest on the basketball court. He was captain of his Grand Blanc Basketball team his senior year. Mark played basketball for 2 years for Mott JC in Flint and one year at SVSU as a walk on. Mark was employed by the Lansing School District currently working at Woodcreek Montessori School. He enjoyed coaching at Wexford Montessori Academy in Lansing where he was the Athletic Director for the past two years. Mark's greatest hope was to help the young people realize their potential.
Mark was a loving father, a wonderful son and brother. He was serious when he needed to be but had the best sense of humor. Mark has taught us many things but his greatest lesson was to love. Mark will be missed greatly by all.
Mark is Survived by his Daughter, Taylin Olivia Jean of Gaffney, South Carolina, his parents, Ronald E. Jean Jr. and Mary V. Jean of Jackson, Michigan, his brother Ronald E. Jean III (Julie) of Jackson, Michigan, many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Special Friends Donetta Gaskin, Hillsborough, NC and Melissa Lyon, Lansing, MI and too many more to mention.
