Obituary:
Charles Sherman Tulip, age 51, of Hartland Township, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007. He was born on February 6, 1956 in Detroit, MI, the son of William M. and Jean H. (Richards) Tulip. The proud father of Joseph of Linden and Anthony of Wixom, beloved grandfather of Ryleigh Lynn Honaker. Also survived by his parents, Reverends William and Jean Tulip of Howell and brother, William Tulip of Howell. Charles was owner of Hartland Towing and Garage for 30 years and a member of Michigan Towing Association, serving on the Board. He loved scuba and cave diving, drag racing, motorcycle racing and was an underwater recovery specialist. He was president of Hartland Marine Salvage, a lifetime member of Great Lakes Historical Shipwreck Society, Hartland Fire Department Dive Team and Underwater Research Associates. Charles was a member of Hidden Springs Church, 5860 N. Latson Road, Howell, where funeral services will be held Monday, December 31 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation Sunday 1-4, 6-8 p.m. at MacDonald�s Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800). Please, Charles would not want flowers but would appreciate contributions to Hidden Springs Church.

Obituary:
Sarah Kuntz passed away peacefully in Grand Rapids, MI at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital Thursday, February 11, 2010 after an inspiring and courageous two �year battle with cancer. Sarah was born on August 8th, 1980 in Elkhart, IN to Jim and Suzanne Taylor, and grew up in Buchanan, MI . She attended Buchanan Community Schools and graduated from high school with honors in 1999. She then attended Michigan State University and graduated with honors from Sienna Heights University in 2003 with a degree in Language Arts. After graduation, she married the love of her life Joshua Alan Kuntz on May 22, 2004. On September 24, 2007 Sarah and Josh were blessed with the light of their lives, their son Jacob Adam Kuntz. Sarah was employed by Choice Schools Associates, originally a Benton Harbor Charter School, and most recently in 2006 by the West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science in Walker, Michigan. After her initial diagnosis in February 2008, although limited physically, she was determined to return to the classroom and did return for the 2008-2009 academic year. In recognition of Sarah�s teaching skills, she was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2009 for all of Choice Schools Associates locations. Sarah is survived by her wonderful husband Joshua, and equally wonderful son Jacob; her parents Jim and Suzanne Taylor of Berrien Springs, MI; brother Jeffrey Taylor, his wife Sally, and their sons, Alexander and Maxwell, of Saint Joseph, MI; and brother James Taylor, his wife Brigid, and their son Daniel, of Chicago, IL; Josh's parents Richard and Catherine Kuntz of Buchanan; Josh's sister Jessica Kuntz and fianc�e Jason Goodsell of Berrien Springs, MI. Sarah is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Betty Jane Knott of Fort Wayne, IN and Josh's grandparents, Richard and Joan Kuntz of Buchanan and Bernard and Margaret Doepker of Hilton Head, SC. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends and coworkers. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ervin J. Knott and paternal grandmother, Cora Taylor. The memory of the quiet and dignified courage displayed by Sarah against an overwhelming disease will always serve as an inspiration to all who knew her. Visitation will be held Monday, February 15th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Swem Funeral Home, 301 W. Front Street, Buchanan, MI. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 217 South Lincoln Avenue Niles, MI with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan, MI. Immediately after the burial, lunch will be provided at the Bertrand Township Fire Station in Buchanan, MI at 4770 West US 12 Highway. Memorial contributions may be made to the 529 (C) Education Fund of their son Jacob or to the Berrien County Relay for Life. Stark, Michael F., Jr. 73, of Plano, TX died March 30, 2009. He was born February 1, 1936 in Buffalo, NY to Mike and Irene Stark. He attended Canisius High School and College in Buffalo, NY. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1958 from the University of Detroit - Mercy. Upon graduation, Mike served two years in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant. He was married on September 16, 1962 to Barbara Black Stark. After retirment Mike relocated to Plano, TX to spend more time with his grandchildren. Mike will be remembered for his great love of family and friends. Visitation is Thursday, April 2nd at 6pm, followed by a Vigil Service at 7pm. The Funeral Mass is Friday, April 3rd at 10:30 am, reception to follow. All services will take place at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Plano Texas.
