James H. Mahoney
(December 12, 1939 - July 1, 2005)
Lansing Age 65, went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 1, 2005 after a 9 year struggle with leukemia. Born December 12, 1939 in Lansing, the son of Elmer and Colletta (Rampe) Mahoney. James graduated in 1958 from Michigan School for the Deaf. He retired from GM after 36 years of service. Surviving are wife, Beverly ; son, Kenneth (Amy); daughter, Julia and fianc�e, Wesley Street; grandson, Samuel Louis Street. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel.

Obituary:
Richard Allen Buttler, age 60 of Gaines, MI passed away at his residence on Sunday March 19, 2006. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gaines on Friday March 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon. The family will receive friends at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Durand on Thursday March 23, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A scripture service will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. at the funeral home.
Mr. Buttler was born in Durand on October 18, 1945 the son of Cecil R. & Frances A. (Gregson) Buttler. On January 30, 1965 he married Jean Kondell in Gaines. He was a machine repair engineer at General Motors in Flint before retiring in 2000. Richard enjoyed gardening, fishing and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Jean, 4 children: Jason (Christine) Buttler of Clarksville, TN, Charles (Christina) Buttler of Swartz Creek, Jamie (Aaron) Duesing of SanDiego, CA and Gerta (Nathan) Foco of Royal Oak, MI. 4 grandchildren: Jarod, Nolan, and Paxton Duesing and Noelle Foco. His mother Frances A. Buttler of Durand and his sister Sharon (David) Kraysovic of Gaines. He was predeceased by his father Cecil in 1993.
