Margaret Patricia "Pat" Mills
Age 88, of Alma, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Gratiot Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15th at 11am at St. John's Episcopal Church with Pat's brother, Rev. Robert Preston officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Wright Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church.
Pat was born August 10, 1919 in Elmvale, Ontario, Canada the daughter of Dr. Rev. John James and Margaret (Patterson) Preston. She moved to Michigan from Canada as an infant and graduated from Alma High School in 1937. She married Norman Mills on September 1, 1940 in Wayne, Mi., with the ceremony being conducted by her father. She raised three children and helped her husband farm all her working life. Pat was a member of St. John's Episcopal church for 80 years. She served the church as a member of the Altar Guild and taught Sunday School. She was also one of the founding members of the Plaid Door in Alma.
Pat is survived by her husband, Norman Mills of Alma, a daughter, Nancy Mills of Albuquerque, NM, two sons, John (LaVonda) Mills of Howell and Richard (Janet) Mills of Alma. Also seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a brother, Rev. Robert Preston of Hallendale, FL.
Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ethel Ann Preston and brother, James Egbert Patterson Preston.

Obituary:
Nancy Ann Mills, 77, of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Alpena, MI.
Nancy was born on February 1, 1943 in Alma, Michigan to the late Norman and Pat (Preston) Mills. Nancy graduated from Alma High School in 1962. She later relocated to Lansing where she opened and operated AA Westside Rentals. During this time she pursued her Bachelors Degree at Michigan State University where she graduated in 1982. Soon after, she accepted a position at Canteen of Central New Mexico in Albuquerque where she retired in as General Manager in June 2001. She was a member of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her two children, Scott Bigelow, of Grand Rapids, MI and Susan (Tim) Hoes, of Alpena, MI; two grandsons, T.J. (Michelle) Hoes, Dylan Hoes (friend Ellie Kindt), both of Alpena, MI; two brothers, John (Lavonda) Mills of Howell, MI and Richard (Janet) Mills, of Alma MI.
Memorial services for Nancy will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 12 pm at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma with her nephew, Pastor John Mills, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Wright Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John in Albuquerque, New Mexico, St. John's Episcopal Church in Alma, MI or your local humane society.

THOMAS J. BURKE, age 88, died peacefully on June 12, 2019.
Beloved husband of 50 years to the late Rosemarie (n�ee Foster).
Devoted father of Noreen (Brian) Bigelow, Robert (Leslie) Burke, Rosemarie (Daniel) Jacob, Patrick (Brandy) Burke, John (Dawn) Burke, and Colleen (Brendan) Riley, and loving grandfather of 12.
Born to John and Violet (n�ee Carmody) Burke and brother of Jack (Dee) Burke, Patricia (Joe) Hipp, Marie (John) Rodgers, Bill (Jeanette) Burke, and Bob (Julie) Burke.
Tom served as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Tom spent over 40 years with Union Carbide/The Energizer Battery Company, and retired in 1997 as the Manager of Human Resources.
Friends and family will be received at McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF WESTLAKE, 25620 Center Ridge Road, on MONDAY, JUNE 17 from 3:00-8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am TUESDAY, JUNE 18, at St. Clarence Catholic Church, 30106 Lorain Road, North Olmsted. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon.

Vivian L. Dillingham, age 63, died Wednesday, October 14, 1998, in Lansing.
Vivian was born June 22, 1935 in Eaton Rapids, the daughter of Ivan Forrest and Martha Mary (Depker) Baldwin. She was a member of the Aurelius Baptist Church and the Eaton Rapids Senior Center. Vivian was a Registered Nurse with the Eaton Rapids Community Hospital and Greater Lansing Visiting Nurses.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1996; daughter, Deborah K. Brantley, in 1995; 2 sisters, Mary Ellen Baldwin and Norma Kozma.
Surviving are 2 daughters, June Young of Dimondale, Penny Griffin of Lansing; 2 sons, Mark (Lori) Dillingham of Holt, John D. Dillingham of Chicago; 7 grandchildren; brother, Bud (Ilo) Baldwin of Eaton Rapids; 2 sisters, Deloras Hudson of Jackson, Arlene Love of Clinton and brother-in-law, James Kozma of Brighton.
Funeral services were held Saturday October 17, at the Shelly Odell Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids, with Stephen Aikin, Pastor of the Aurelius Baptist Church officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to the Aurelius Baptist Church in memory of Vivian L. Dillingham.
