Ida Rose Bigelow Marsh, age 86, of Alma, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Schnepp Senior Care and Rehab Center in St. Louis. She was born December 22, 1931 in Alma the daughter of Howard and Marcella (Doepker) Bigelow. She was a 1950 graduate of Alma High School.
Ida worked as a switchboard operator at Pontiac General Hospital for over 23 years, before her retirement. While working in Pontiac she met Robert Marsh, a pharmacist, and they were married shortly after. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and doing yard work.
Ida is survived by four daughters; Cynthia (Colin) Davis, Judith (Mike) Willaman, Betty (John) Nelson and Patricia (Brian Hill) Hubbard, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three sisters; Wanda (Jack) Thompson, Donelda Stinchcomb, Phyllis (Dean) Clark, a brother; Edward (Judy) Bigelow, and two sisters-in-law; Phyllis Bigelow, Jeanette Bigelow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, three brothers, Kenneth, Phillip and Richard �Nick� Bigelow, sister-in-law, Colleen Bigelow and brother-in-law, Leon �Bud� Stinchcomb.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10 am at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home with Pastor Chris McNeilly officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Pritchard Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Kenneth P. Bigelow, age 76, of Vestaburg, formerly of Alma, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Gratiot. He was born February 3, 1938 in Alma the son of Howard J. and Marcella (Doepker) Bigelow. He was a 1955 graduate of Alma High School and married Phyllis Young on October 24, 1959 at the Alma United Methodist Church.
Ken started working right out of high school building silos. He worked for Vestaburg Silo and C & B Silo for over 30 years building his last silo in the early 2000�s. He was very proud of his work building silos and enjoyed pointing out his work while out with his family. He also worked as a Real Estate Agent for several brokers from 1984 until retiring from Coldwell Bankers in 2011. Ken was a past member of the Vestaburg Lion�s Club and Volunteer Fireman. He was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed playing himself and coaching all his children. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling to watch his grandchildren play as well and could still remember where almost every high school in the state was located. He was referred to by his family as the human GPS.
Ken is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis of Vestaburg, six children, Jeff Bigelow of Alma, Lisa (Steve) Buczek of Greenville, Kristine (Mike) Olejniczak of Vestaburg, Karen (Troy) Grover of Vestaburg, Jenny (Rob) Smith of Alma and Brad (Kelly) Bigelow of Chillicothe, Ohio, 18 grandchildren, Kenny, Bethany, Kathy, Andrew and their mother, Lisa Bigelow, Janelle, Corey, Dillon, Amber, Stephanie, Justin, Darren, Luke, Lance, Felicia, Brittney, Devon, Baily and Brady, two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Alivia. Also his siblings, Richard �Nick� Bigelow of Alma, Edward (Judy) Bigelow of Elwell, Ida Rose Marsh of Alma, Wanda (Jack) Thompson of Alma, Donelda Stincomb of Florida, Phyllis (Dean) Clark of Alma and a sister-in-law, Jeannette Bigelow of Alma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Nancy Sue Bigelow, a brother, Phillip Bigelow, sister-in-law, Colleen Bigelow and a brother-in-law, Leon �Bud� Stincomb.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 11 am at the Seville Community Church of God in Elwell with Pastor George Showers officiating. Interment will be held in Pritchard Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alma, Vestaburg or Greenville Sports Boosters.

Albert H. Doepker, age 84, of Seymour, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 5, 2013 at Grand Horizons in Appleton. He was born November 26, 1928 son of the late Albert and Amy (Brouilliard) Doepker.
On November 12, 1955 he was united in marriage to Shirley Franckowiak in Greenleaf.
Al started Doepker's Bakery in 1951. He served the City of Seymour as 2nd Ward Alderman for 8 years. He was an avid bike rider and rode over 7,000 miles. Al was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour.
Survivors include his wife Shirley; children: Mark Doepker, Tom (Audrey) Doepker, Mary Jo Gordon, Mike Doepker, Janet (Ron) Stellmacher, John (Chris) Doepker, Sharon (Dan) Carmody, Karen Doepker; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Bob (Shirley) Doepker.
He is preceded in death by 3 sisters.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until services at noon with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Appleton.

Lima News, LEIPSIC - Richard H. Schroeder, 92, died at 9:20 p.m. Dec. 10, 2002, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
He was born May 28, 1910, in Leipsic to Frank and Philomena Meyer Schroeder, who preceded him in death.
On Feb. 7, 1934, he married Rovena Kruse, who survives in Leipsic.
Mr. Schroeder retired as a farmer and from Philips Display Components. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic, and its Holy Name Society. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2234, Ottawa, the GTE Sylvania Quarter Century Club and a social member at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Leipsic.
Survivors also include a son, Norman (Evelyn) Schroeder of Ottawa; a brother, Herbert (Marion) Schroeder of Toledo; five half brothers, Ambrose Schroeder of Leipsic and Steve (Mary) Schroeder, Herman (Rose) Schroeder, August Schroeder and John (Kathy) Schroeder, all of Ottawa; two half sisters, Esther (Joe) Fuerst and Margrite Palte, both of Columbus Grove; three grandchildren, Randy (Pam) Schroeder, Annette (Robert) Warren and Julie (Daryl) Brooks, all of Ottawa; and seven great-grandchildren, Derek Warren, Lacy Warren, Jasmine Warren, Ryan Schroeder, Erin Schroeder, Lee Brooks and Lane Brooks.
He was preceded in death by a son, Leon Schroeder; four brothers, Linus, Nelmun, Everett and Sixtus Schroeder; a half brother, Andrew Schroeder; and two half sisters, Ardele Kleman and Evelyn McLaughlin.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic. The Rev. John Joseph will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, where a Holy Name rosary service will be held at 7 p.m., FOE service at 7:30 p.m. and a Scripture service at 8:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
