Obituary:
Marcia Ann Doepker, age 72, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 after fighting a long illness. Marcia was born July 13, 1949 to Harvey and Elizabeth Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer, her sister Jackie (Kelly) Travis of Coosada, Alabama, and her longtime partner Jim McEntee.
Marcia worked at several jobs during her lifetime. Her most prized job was being a stay-at-home mother. But she also was a manager of the Browns Pharmacy and Gift Shop. Her favorite job was being a caregiver with Home Instead for many years.
She was a kind, loving person, and even more of an amazing friend. Always known for being very funny! Marsh has two special dachshunds, Heidi and Cleo. She was also an amazing mother to her daughter Jennifer, and to others that she called her own.
A funeral service for Marcia will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912, followed by a visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Obituary:
Thomas H. McCowen, of Cumming, GA passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the age of 69. Tom was born February 14, 1950 in Kalamazoo, MI. He is the son of Robert and Vivian (Smith) McCowen. Tom graduated from Portage Northern in 1968. He later married Rosemary Doepker and together had two children, Robert and Carl. They lived for a period of time in Anchorage, Alaska and in Tampa, Florida.
Tom is survived by his wife Rose; two sons: Robert McCowen, of KS and Carl (Clare) McCowen, of CO; one grandson, Elliott; mother: Vivian McCowen, of Kalamazoo; one brother: Bob (Sue) McCowen, of Clark Lake, MI; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert McCowen.
Per Tom�s wishes he has been cremated and will have a memorial service at a later date.

Mr. Minich, age 63, died Tues., March 4, 1975 at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the Lansing area his entire life. He is a member of the St. Jude Community church, DeWitt. the Knights of Columbus. Richard Council No. 788, the Lansing Lions Club and was on the Board of Directors for Lansing General Hospital. Mr. Minich had been in the banking business for 42 years, retiring from Michigan National Bank in 1971. He is survived by his wife, Alice: 4 daughters. Mrs. James (Carol) Dyer of Grand Ledge. Mrs. Bernard (Margaret) Doepker of Berrien Springs. Mrs. David (Mary) Sharp of Middletown. R.I. and Mrs. Russell (Susan) Schneider of Gurnee, III, 1 son. Thomas Minich of Lansing: 20 grandchildren: 3 brothers, Carl Minich of East Lansing, Ernest Minich of Lansing and Richard Minich of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters. Margaret Wertdling of Lansing and Catherine Breslin of Fairfax. Va. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Jude Community Church in DeWitt with Father Jerome Schmitt officiating. Interment in Mt Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Dyer, Bernard Doepker. David Sharp. Russell Schneider. Carl Minich, Ernest Minich and Richard Minich. The Parish rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. and the K of C prayer service will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Palmer Bush Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marcus C. Vitos. age 59 years. died Friday morning at a local hospital. A resident of Lansing for the past 35 years. coming here from Detroit. Mr. Vitos had operated the Snack Bar at the Recreation Bowling Alley. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox church. The survivors are the wife. Mary: a son. Gus Vitos: a daughter. Barbara M. Vitos. all of Lansing. and brothers and sisters in Greece. Funeral services will he at the Holy Trinity church at 2 p. m. Monday. Fr. John Sarantos officiating. The body will be at the Estes-Leadley funeral home until time for the service.

Mrs. Mary Vitos, 58, of 1239 Kingsley Ct., died Tuesday at a local hospital. A resident of Lansing for 40 years, she was a member of Holy Cross Church. Surviving are a son, Gus M. of Lansing: a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Doepker of Niles: two brothers. Steven Savel and Joseph Savel both of Detroit: and a sister, Mrs. Stephen Torok of Lansing. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Cathedral at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rosary will he recited at the Estes-Leadley Colonial Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service for William "Bill" Parks III will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at Family Life Church with Pastor Ernie Bishop officiating. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Walker Funeral Home. William Paul Parks IIIl, 76, of Weston, WY passed away on October 17, 2017 following a valiant fight with cancer. Bill was born on September 8, 1941 in Gillette, WY to William Parks Jr. and Catherine Parks. He and his sisters; Helen (Greer) and Jan (Evans) were raised on the family ranch founded by his grandfather, William Parks in 1906. At the age of 8, Bill and his family moved to their own ranch on Little Powder River where he lived until graduating from high school in 1959. He was popular in school and was voted Class President and Most Athletic, excelling in football and wrestling. Throughout his life he maintained a close relationship with his childhood and school friends. Bill married Paulette Norfolk in 1960. To this union were born two sons, William Parks IV and Peter Parks. During their marriage he worked on his family�s ranches eventually going on to operate his own ranch. He was President of Trail Creek Grazing Association from its inception in 1966. He and Paulette divorced and he later married Brenda Gortney who had an 11 year old son, Derek Gortney. Bill�s true joy in life was watching his children and grandchildren play sports and spending time with them. He also enjoyed spending time with nieces and nephews, family and friends. Throughout his life he enjoyed participating and watching rodeo. He won the NRCA steer wrestling championship and later in life steer roping became his passion. Other of Bill�s interests included; hunting, fishing, golf, but above all else working his cows, riding his horses and being on his land. Bill Parks was one of the last of a ranching generation to be blessed to experience the earlier years of ranching. He was a true traditional ranching cowboy. Bill is survived by his wife; Brenda, sons; Will, Pete and Derek, sister; Jan Evans, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Helen.
