Patricia A. Lyon, 73 of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 4, 1944 in Hattiesburg, MS to Frederick and Elsie Opal (Gard) Doepker. She married Larry Lyon on July 11, 1964 in Elkhart.
She is survived by her 6 children, David (Michelle) Lyon, Kelley Lyon, Trina (Jerry) Crone, Karen (Louis) Coulter all of Elkhart, Michael (Christina) Lyon of Kaukauna, WI and Cindy McCord of Elkhart; 16 grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah, Lauren, Joshua and Andrew Lyon, Emily and Eric Crone, Elisabeth, Grace, Caleb, Ethan and Charlotte Lyon, Makayla, Madelyn, Cole and Cayden McCord and a sister, Linda Thomas of Edwardsburg, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry on April 3, 2009 and her parents.
Patricia graduated from Niles, (MI) High School and was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother to her family.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Tuesday, Nov. 14that Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where a service in her honor will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, Nov. 15th. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Bristol.

Marie E. Doepker, 70, of Alma and St. Louis died Saturday, March 7, 1987, at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alma with the Rev. John Sarge officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lansing.
Friends may call at the Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home in Alma after 1 p.m. today.
A rosary is scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoogerland Memorial Workshop.
Mrs. Doepker was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Isabella County to K. B. "Ben" and Elizabeth (Biening) Moeggenborg. She married Carl Doepker on Oct. 9, 1937; he preceded her in death in 1981.
Mrs. Doepker lived In Gratiot County until 1948 when she moved to Lansing. She returned to Gratiot County in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons, Bernard E. of Mahwah, NJ, Thomas L of Three Oaks, and Richard L of Lansing; five daughters, Elizabeth R. Doepker of Lansing, Carol Ann Doepker of St. Louis, and Mrs. Norm (Patricia Ann) Ziesmer, Mrs. Tom (Rosemary) McCowan and Mrs. Guy (Theresa Kay) Biesanz, all of Anchorage, Alaska; four brothers, Richard Moeggenborg of Stanton, Ollie Moeggenborg of Shepherd, Lewis Moeggenborg of Alma, and Lenus Moeggenborg of Elwell; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Turnwald of Shepherd and Mrs. Martha Post of Big Rapids; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry, Fred, John and Ed Moeggenborg.

It is with great sorrow to announce that Bernie Doepker of Charlotte, NC and formerly of Berrien Springs, MI has passed away at the age of 78. He was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. He was the son of the late Carl and Marie (Moeggenberg) Doepker. Bernie was the oldest of 8 children. Surviving are his brother, Tom (Barb) Doepker; and sisters, Carol, Rosemary (Tom) McCowen, and Teri Biesanz. Preceding in death are brother, Richard (Marcia) Doepker; and sisters, Betty Rose Doepker and Patty (Norm) Ziesmer.
On July 18, 1959, he married the love of his life, Margaret (Peggy) Minich. She survives with seven children: Cathy (Rick) Kuntz, John (Connie) Doepker, Robert (Katy) Doepker, Beth (Joe) Wilson, Karen Doepker, Nancy (Jim) Price, and Mary (Perry) Deliyanne. He has 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Bernie graduated from Michigan State University in 1962 with a BA in Accounting and Finance.
He held many positions in his career: a CPA/Audit Manager for Coopers and Lybrand, President and COO for Clark Credit Corp, VP Clark Equipment Co., United Technologies, Citi-Corp, AGCO Corp,, The Bernard Group, and Basic Enterprises. Bernie retired in 2015.
Bernie loved going to his grandkids' sporting events. He loved playing golf and was a lifelong Spartan, Lions, and Tigers fan.
The family has planned a Celebration of Life to be held Sunday, Sept. 23 at Orchard Hills Country Club, Buchanan, MI from 2:00-5:00. Cremation has taken place.

She graduated from St. Mary's in Lansing and retired from the state of Michigan as a dispatcher for the State Police. There will be no services at this time.

Patricia Ann Ziesmer

Patricia Ann Ziesmer died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her home in Bend, Oregon. Born in Lansing, Michigan in 1951, Pat worked for the State of Michigan department of social services for ten years before moving to Anchorage, Alaska. In Anchorage she worked for the Anchorage School District and Van Dusen Airport Services. In 1995 Pat moved to Bend, Oregon to raise her children and also worked as a teacher's aid for the Bend LaPine School District.
Patricia was married to Norman Ziesmer in 1985 and provided joy, comfort and fun to her family despite the challenges of managing the complications of diabetes for 45 years. Patricia loved a road trip and managed to see most of these United States in her lifetime. At the time of her death she was planning trips to Colorado and New England to see family and visit a few of the places not yet discovered.
Pat is survived by her husband; twins, Max and Elizabeth Ziesmer; her brothers, Tom and Bernie Doepker; sisters, Carol Ann Doepker, Betty Doepker, Rose McCowen and Teri Biesanz; as well as her best friend and mother-in-law, Virginia Ziesmer. Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Richard (Dick) Deopker and her parents, Carl and Marie.
