Idella G. Doepker, 81, died at 7:05 a.m. April 14, 2008, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Leipsic to Ben C. and Emma Schmiedebusch Meyers, who preceded her in death. On April 12, 1947, she married Charles F. Doepker, who died Oct. 22, 2000.
Mrs. Doepker had worked at Gustwillers Clothing Store, Ottawa. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, and its Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a volunteer in the church office. She was a member and past president of American Legion Post 63 Auxiliary, Ottawa.
Survivors include a son, Charles B. (Jane) Doepker, of Ottawa; two grandchildren, John B. (Lindsey Brown) Doepker and Susan (Randy L.) Schroeder; and two great-grandchildren, Nikolas Doepker and Halle Schroeder.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Westrick and Helen Westrick; and three brothers, Elmer, Oscar and Robert Meyers.

Walter William Kopf, age 81, of Okemos, Michigan was born August 8, 1942 to William and Hilda Kopf and passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Walter was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and graduated from Saint Peter's College, now known as Saint Peter's University. He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966, where he was a Lieutenant Colonel in the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. He continued his military involvement by working with the Army Reserves for many years.
Walter met the love of his life, Brenda, in New Orleans, LA. They travelled and lived in various places, such as Missouri City, TX and Birmingham, AL before settling with their family in Okemos, MI. Walter was a man of faith and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Okemos. Nothing brought more joy to Walter than spending time with his family.
Walter was survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda; children Eric (Traci) Kopf, Karen (Martin) Lynch, Becca (Allison) Miller, Katy (Cody) Kopf, and son-in law AJ Fox; grandchildren Brianna, Connor, Emily, Alex, Karissa, Jack, Ryan, Caitlin, Austin, Ciara, Grayson, Garrett and Granger; and nieces and nephews Johnny, Herbie, Christina and Kara. Walter is preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Fox and sister Eleanor Tietje.
A visitation for Walter will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5PM to 7PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 E. Grand River Ave. East Lansing, MI 48823. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10AM at Faith Lutheran Church 4515 Dobie Rd. Okemos, MI 48864. Interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Walter. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Faith Lutheran Church family and the staff at McLaren Intensive Care Unit.

Diem, Daniel Joseph, of Montrose, age 86, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his home.
A private funeral service will be held with Father Christian Salata officiating. He will be laid to rest at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Cemetery.
Dan was born in Flint, Michigan on March 2, 1939, the son of the late John and Margaret (Evans) Diem. He retired after nearly 40 years from General Motors as a Fork Lift driver. He was a diligent and hard working man. He married Joyce Cherry on April 19, 1958. He was a faithful member of St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. Dan enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, working with wood, and many other outdoor activities.
Dan is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joyce Diem; nine children, Jeff (Lydia), Joe (Sarah), Jim (Barb), Connie (Wayne), Dan (Lisa), Mike (Michelle), Sharon (Ron), Rick (Jennie), John (Amy); thirty grandchildren ;and 41 great-grandchildren; siblings, Joanne (Ward), John (Carol), Cathy (Bob); and good friend/brother-in-law,Lee Cherry. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Diem; his daughter, Debra; two sisters, Mary (Jerry), Sharon (Tom); brother, Jim.
