Obituary:
FORT GRATIOT - Mrs. Elizabeth "Bettie" Loraine Clark, age 87, of Fort Gratiot, has gone home to her Lord Jesus on October 20, 2007. She was born in Lansing, MI on April 18, 1920, daughter of the late Vernon and Frieda Faust and stepmother, Mae Faust. She married Lloyd John Clark on October 14, 1939, after 65 years of marriage. Lloyd passed away on August 20, 2005. The past 4 years, Bettie and Lloyd's home was at the Blue Water Lodge, where they had many loving friends. She was active in the Marysville United Methodist Church and the Chapel at Blue Water Lodge. Bettie was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Bettie is survived by three sons, Jerry (Pam) Clark of Monroe, Michigan, Jeff (Karen) Clark of Aubrey, Texas, Terry (Dorothy) Clark of Homosassa, Florida, and daughter, Kim (Steve) Sheldon of Marysville, Michi-gan; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, John (Shirley) Clark of Calumet, MI; sisters-in-law, Elaine (Bill) Reidel and Patsy (Mike) Matecha, both of Melbourne, Florida, and sister-in-law, Donna Clark of Utica, MI. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chet Faust; sister, Beverly Rule; brother-in-law, Robert Clark; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Art and June Nicholai; and granddaughter, Susan Clark. Bettie most enjoyed her family, friends, church, bible study, reading, traveling, reli-gious programs, and Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Her faith and love will help to sustain us in this difficult time, along with the many prayers and thoughts from our family and friends. Spe-cial thanks for the Sunshine Home Health Care staff and Blue Water Hospice for the loving care of our Mother. Memorial service to be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice, or the Mar-ysville United Methodist Church. Cremation arrange-ments by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street, Port Huron.

Obituary:
Idella G. Doepker, 81, died at 7:05 a.m. April 14, 2008, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Leipsic to Ben C. and Emma Schmiedebusch Meyers, who preceded her in death. On April 12, 1947, she married Charles F. Doepker, who died Oct. 22, 2000.
Mrs. Doepker had worked at Gustwillers Clothing Store, Ottawa. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, and its Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a volunteer in the church office. She was a member and past president of American Legion Post 63 Auxiliary, Ottawa.
Survivors include a son, Charles B. (Jane) Doepker, of Ottawa; two grandchildren, John B. (Lindsey Brown) Doepker and Susan (Randy L.) Schroeder; and two great-grandchildren, Nikolas Doepker and Halle Schroeder.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Westrick and Helen Westrick; and three brothers, Elmer, Oscar and Robert Meyers.
