Idella G. Doepker, 81, died at 7:05 a.m. April 14, 2008, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Leipsic to Ben C. and Emma Schmiedebusch Meyers, who preceded her in death. On April 12, 1947, she married Charles F. Doepker, who died Oct. 22, 2000.
Mrs. Doepker had worked at Gustwillers Clothing Store, Ottawa. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, and its Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a volunteer in the church office. She was a member and past president of American Legion Post 63 Auxiliary, Ottawa.
Survivors include a son, Charles B. (Jane) Doepker, of Ottawa; two grandchildren, John B. (Lindsey Brown) Doepker and Susan (Randy L.) Schroeder; and two great-grandchildren, Nikolas Doepker and Halle Schroeder.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Westrick and Helen Westrick; and three brothers, Elmer, Oscar and Robert Meyers.

Amanda A. Kempf, 96, of 655 Park Avenue , Galion died Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at Atwood Manor Nursing Center, Galion.
Born July 7, 1907 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late William Verhoff and Agnes (Lemper) Verhoff.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was an avid card player. She worked at Stratbury Manufacturing Co., Maloy's Bakery and retired from North Electric Co. in Galion after 15 years where she was a relay stenciler.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Syvonne and Ann Kempf and Byrdell Kempf, of Galion; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Agnes Fitcher, of Shelby.
She married Vincent C. Kempf, November 22, 1927. He preceded her in death November 13, 1994. She was also preceded by a daughter, Wynoid Weithman, two sisters and three brothers.

Agnes T. Fichter, age 90, former resident of 80 Park Village, Shelby died Friday, July 29, 2005 in Heritage Care Center.
Born September 27, 1914 in Kalida, OH to William and Agnes (Lemper) Verhoff she had been a Shelby resident since 1924. A 1932 graduate of Shelby High School she had been employed with the former Shelby Gum Co. and the Standard Tube. Mrs. Fichter was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella, K of C Ladies Auxiliary, AARP, and the Half Holiday Club.
During her lifetime she enjoyed playing cards and watching baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jan and Jenny Fichter of Mansfield and Jerry and Linda Fichter of Shelby; six grandchildren, Penny Fichter, Wendy Snyder, Russ Fichter, Shelly Southard, Jerrilyn Kayser and Theresa Fichter; four great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Fichter in 1976, three brothers, Ben, Joe and George Verhoff; and three sisters, Adela, Martha, and Amanda Kempf.
