George J. Schulien
George J. Schulien, 84, of Lafayette, Ind., died Wednesday morning in the Indiana Knights of Pythias Home Hospital after an illness of two years. He was born Oct. 28, 1885 in Ottoville, a son of Nicholas and Maria Schulien. He married Agnes Doepker in 1923 and she died in 1930. Surviving is a nephew, Harold Scherjer of Huntington, Ind. He was a member of Ottawa Eagles Lodge.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Rev. Florian Hartke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Fischer-McCrate Funeral Home, Ottawa, after 4 p.m. Friday. Eagles Lodge services will beheld at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Ottawa Woman Succumbs In Lima Hospital Earty Monday Morning
OTTAWA, Aug. 7 - Mrs. Philomena Westrick, 63, wife of William Westrick, of East Wain street, died in St. Rlta's hospital at Lima at 7:15 O'clock Monday morning from complications which developed after she suffered a fractured hip in a fall at the family home recently.
Mrs. Westrick was born Oct 31, 1880, In Glandorf. to Frank and Magdalena Doepker. She was the wife of William F. WestrIck, Ottawa plumber. Mrs. Westrick was a member of Sts, Peter and Paul Catholic parish of Ottawa. and the Ottawa court, Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
The husband remains together with three daughters, Miss Evangeline and Miss Alice of Chicago, and Miss Ruth Westrick at home: three sons, Albert at home; Lawrence at Toledo, and John Cornelius Westrick in the U, S. navy stationed in California; three brothers, Harry of Glandorf; August and Walter Westrick of Ottawa., five sisters, Mrs, Joseph Schmenk of Leipsic; Mrs. Homer Light of Pandora: Mrs, Clyde Cook, Sr. of Lima: Mrs, Jack Jones of Ottawa, and Mrs. August Gatzke of Leipsic, and one granddaughter.
Funeral arrangements will not be completed until word is received from the son in the navy. The body is at the Fischer and Son Funeral Home here:

Rites Thursday For Retired Plumber
OTTAWA, Feb. 11 - William F. Westrick, 79, a retired plumber a Ottawa, died at 3:24 a.m Monday at Lima St. Ritas Hospital. He suffered a fractured hip on Dec. 20.
Born Sept. 14, 1877 at Glandorf, he was the son of Peter and Lucinda Westrick. He married Philomena Doepker who died in 1944.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. John Liedke, Leipsic; Mrs. Roger Pratt, Mrs. Al Starkey, Miss Ruth Westrick, all of Chicago; sons, Lawrence L. Toledo; John C., Marietta; arid Albert A., Ottawa; a brother, Frank, New Bavaria; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, a daughter, two brothers and a sister arc deceased.
Mr. Westrick was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church here.
Services are m 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Roman Rodak officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. The body is at the Fischer Funeral Home where friends may call.

OTTAWA - Albert A. Westrick, 85, of Ottawa, died at 1:10 a.m. Monday at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Aug. 3, 1906 in Ottawa to William and Philomena (Doepker) Westrick.
Surviving are a brother, Lawrence of Glandorf; three sisters, Alice Pratt, North Riverside, Ill.; Evangeline Starkie, Berwyn, Ill. and Ruth Westrick, Zion, Ill.
Mr. Westrick had been a self-employed plumber and a night watchman at Louisiana-Pacific Corp. Ottawa. He was a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV, Eagles, and Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, all in Ottawa.
A funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Ken Eckstein officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where the Ottawa American. Legion and VFW will conduct military rites.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at McCrate-Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. A VFW service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, followed by an Eagles service at 8:30 p.m. A scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Sts. Peter & Paul School Educational Trust, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Ottawa, Feb 4, 1951 - Harry A. Doepker, 70, a farmer residing at Glandorf on rural route 3, Ottawa, died In his home at l p.m. Sunday from a heart attack. He had been In failing health two years.
A son of of Frank and Magdelena Doepker, he was born In Glandorf Jan. 1, 1881, and spent his life in Putnam county. He was married to Mary Recker in 1908 and the couple had no children. Mrs. Doepker died In 1946.
Brothers and sisters surviving are August and Walter Doepker, Ottawa; Sister Pauline Doepker, Toledo; Mrs. Homer Light, Columbua Grove; Mrs. Clyde Cook, Lima; Mrs. Jack Jones, Ottawa; Mrs. Joseph Schmenk and Mrs. J. A. Gatzke. Lelpsic. Four sisters are deceased.
Mr. Doepker was a member of St John's catholic church in Glandorf and belonged to the Holy Name Society of the parish.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday In the church. The Rev. Otto Brackman will officiate. Interment will be !n the church cemetery.
The body will be returned to the residence from the Fischer funeral home. Ottawa. Monday afternoon.

Mary Agnes Doepker Age 75, of 4200 Simpson Rd. died Thursday evening at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing.
Mrs. Doepker was a homemaker and in earlier life a bookkeeper at Chesaning Sales.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul Catholic Church, Saturday at 10 a.m. The Reverend Father Francis Faraci will officiate with burial in St. Paul Cemetery. The body rests at Jen-nings-Lyons Chapel. There will be a scripture service this evening at 7;30 p.m at the chapel.
Mrs. Doepker was born in New Lothrop on May 15, 1908, the daughter of James and Margaret (Welch) Conley. She attended New Lothrop Schools and graduated from St. Paul High School. Mrs Doepker resided most of her life in this area. On Nov. 18, 1939, she and Gilbert H. Doepker were married in the St. Paul Catholic Church. Mrs. Doepker was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include her husband; 2 sons, James of Swartz Creek, and Robert of Owosso Township; 4 grandchildren and a brother, James Conley of New Lathrop, Mrs Doepker was predeceased by 2 brothers.
