Obituary:
Donald Robert Schnebelt of Ypsilanti, formerly of Dexter, MI, age 75, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township, MI. He was born the son of Joseph and Alice M. (Johnson) Schnebelt on August 11, 1934 in Laingsburg, MI. Don enjoyed fishing and making his own games. He enjoyed reading comic books and news papers and also watching sports on TV. Faith and family were the two most important things in his life. Don is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Studer of Aledo, TX and Sr. Paraclita Schnebelt of Clinton, formerly of Dexter, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Phillip, Ruth, Lorene, Joseph Jr. Lawrence, Audrey Boham, and Eugene Schnebelt. The Mass of Christian Burial will be prayed at the St. Joseph Catholic Village Church on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Brendan J. Walsh Presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Gifts may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass. Arrangements are by the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home.

Obituary:
Robert J. O'Brien Lansing Age 69, died September 15, 2010. He was born December 13, 1940 in Lansing to Jack and Frances O'Brien. Bob was a lifelong resident of the Lansing area and a graduate of Resurrection High School. He retired as Fire Marshal for the City of Lansing Fire Dept. after 25 years of service. He spent his retirement years with family and friends volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at St. Therese, playing poker with his Wednesday group and going to every garage sale he could find. His best time was spent with the apples of his eye, his grandchildren - Kate, Maggie, Jack, Rachel and Ethan, who will miss their grandpa dearly who always spoiled them whenever they were together. Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Anne; daughter, Shawn Marie (Jeff) Olds; son, Dan (Pam) O'Brien; and 4 brothers, Pat (Judy) O'Brien of Stanwood, MI, Jim (Jeanne) O'Brien of West Olive, MI, Mike (Debi) O'Brien of Canadian Lakes, MI, Tom (Chris) O'Brien of Loudon, TN. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2010 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 102 W. Randolph St., Lansing, with Fr. Lawrence Delaney and Fr. Michael Williams as concelebrants. The Rite of Committal will be at Hillside Cemetery. The Lansing Fire Dept. will provide an Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Those desiring to make contributions can support St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Bank at St. Therese Church or St. Francis Retreat Center.

William Riley III, 53, of Covington, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. He owned Riley's Professional Carpet Cleaning.
Survivors include his wife, June Riley of Crescent Springs; a son, William Riley IV of Crescent Springs; brothers, Dan Riley of Minnesota, John Riley of Harbor Springs, Mich., Larry Riley of Crescent Springs, and Gary Riley and Terry Riley, both of Lansing, Mich.; and sisters, Geraldene Allen of Lansing, Mich., and Pamela Reese of Stanton, Mich.
A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
