Obituary:
Dawn Barwick, 55, went home to Jesus on August 26, 2021 surrounded by her husband and two sons.
Dawn was born on March 1, 1966 in Tallahassee, Florida to Dale Boyer Sr. and Sarah Burleson Bingham. She attended Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive Highschool and graduated as an honor grad in 1984. Dawn enjoyed spending her time with family, vacationing and yearly girls trips with her mother and sister. If she was not telling stories about her nursing career she was talking about her family.
In 1985 she moved to Pensacola, FL which is when she met her beloved husband of 30 years. They married in 1991. Dawn became a nurse in 1993 and spent her entire nursing career as an ICU nurse at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. In 2009, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. After nursing for 20 years MS forced her to step back and be the person needing help instead of the person giving the help. This was not easy for her because she absolutely loved what she did. She was always a nurturer and wanted to help anyone in any way she could.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Joe Barwick; her children, Zachary (Shelby) and Logan (Sarah); her mother, Sarah (Ted) Bingham; her sister, Tracy (Brett) McAvoy and brother, Dale (Ginger) Boyer; nieces and nephew, Brandi Atkins, Sarah Beth McAvoy, and Emory McAvoy. She is also survived by her granddaughter and light of her life, Emma Faye Barwick. She is preceded in death by her father Dale Boyer Sr., maternal grandmother, Dora Will Burleson "Pudgy", and her paternal grandmother, Virginia Boyer.
