JOHN F. SCIMONE
LAKELAND John Francesca Scimone, 44, 631 Young Place, died Monday at Lakeland General Hospital.
A native of Medford, Mass., he came here from Mobile, Ala., 12 years ago. Mr. Set-mone worked for the postal service and belonged to St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He founded the Lakeland Run-ners Club and was a board member of the Polk County Youth Soccer League. He coached the Celtics Soccer Team. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Scimone, Lakeland; his father, Chico Scimone, Taor-mina, Sicily; his mother, Madeline Bosse, Boston, Mass.; his sons, John Thomas Scimone, Lakeland, Cliff Scimone, Boston, Mass„ and Frank Scimone, Syracuse, N.Y.; his daughter, Julie Ann Scimone, Lakeland; and his half-brother, Gionfranco Scimone, Spain.

Joseph Terry Barwick
PENSACOLA - Joseph Terry Barwick, 64, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. CDT today at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Pensa cola, with Father Joseph Fowler as celebrant. Burial will be at 5:30 P.M. EDT at West Sopchoppy Cemetery in Sopchoppy. Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola (850-432-6146) is handling arrangements.
Mr. Barwick served in the U.S. Army and retired from the NADEP, Naval Air Station, Pensacola. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Carol Barwick; two sons, Joseph B. Barwick (and wife Dawn) and Matthew Barwick; two daughters, Elizabeth Barwick-Bennett (and husband Mike) and Mary Cross (and husband Jimmy); five grandchildren, Michael LaVoie, Terry Cross, Zachary and Logan Barwick and Shane May; a brother, Berney Barwick (and wife Peggy); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ruby Barwick; a brother, Homer Barwick Jr.; and a sister, Rose Ann Ballard.
