Mix, Catherine E. Catherine E. Mix, of Menasha, age 88 passed away early Friday morning, September 9, 2005. Catherine was born June 14, 1917, in Menasha, the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret (Krause) Brantmeier. She married Henry A. Mix on June 24, 1936. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1975. Catherine was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha, and was a former member of their Rosary Society. Catherine enjoyed crocheting and walking. She also enjoyed her grandchildren. Catherine is survived by her children: Barbara (George) Lehrer, Paul (Nola) Mix, and Dave (Linda) Mix. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Mark (Colleen) Lehrer, Tony (Jennifer) Lehrer, Matt (Carmen) Lehrer, Luke (Leslie) Lehrer, Sandy (Mark) Campbell, Sarah (Adam) Bialke and Julia Flom; step grandchildren: Amy Lettau, Ryan (Stacy) Smith, Dana (Chad) Dombrowski, Tyler Schuh; great-grandchildren: Zachery, Chan-dler, Kaleb, Ondrea, Samantha, Brienna, Hailey, Jacob, Logan, Elizabeth, Olivia Lehrer, Taylor and Natalie Flom; step great-grandchildren: Mikayla and Mason Let-tau, Skyanne Dombrowski and Cayden Dyer-Schuh. She is also survived by her brother Edward (Elaine) Brantmeier and her sister-in-law Millie Brantmeier, many nieces and nephews, and her special friend Marion Stinski. Catherine was first a child of God, an obedient daughter, a caring sister, a loving wife, a nurturing mother, a proud grandmother and a special great-grandmother and a true friend to all she knew. She was an early riser, an immaculate housekeeper, awesome bread and cookie baker and wonderful cook. She was a talented crocheter who made many afghans for family and friends. She was a self-sacrificing caretaker who put others' needs before her own. Catherine is happy now with her Henry. Funeral services for Catherine will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Father Paul Radetski officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church on Tues-day morning from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral mass.

ARNOLD DOEPKER DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME IN ST. LOUIS

Relatives and friends of the Shepherd community were shocked Monday by the news of the sudden death of Arnold Doepker at his home in St. Louis, where he had been employed for some time by the St. Louis Co-operative Cremery company.
Although Mr. Doepker had seemed in apparently good health and had not complained of being ill, he died at about 3:30 Monday morning a few minutes after Mrs. Doepker had been awakened by his labored breathing.
Mr. Doepker had lived in St. Louis, appeared to be in good health ____ ____ ed there from a farm west of Forest Hill. Previously he had owned, with his brother, and occupied what is known as the Fauce? farm, northeast of Shepherd. He had resided in this immediate vicinity for about 24 years and was married here about 21 years ago to Miss Sadie O'Connor who survives him with three sons, Frederick, Verne and Gerald and two daughters, Gertrude and Genevieve. Brothers and sisters surviving are Matt Doepker of Shepherd, Albert Doepker of Wisconsin, Alex Doepker of northern Michigan, Neil Doepker of Mt. Pleasant, E. Doepker residing east of Shepherd, Louis Deopker of Owosso, Mrs. Ferd Kramer of Shepherd and Mrs. Tena Bruskotter of Saginaw.

SHEPHERD - Ferdinand Kramer, 60, died July 1, 1952 at Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago. Mr. Kramer was custodian at the Dow Chemical company before his illness.
He was born July 16, 1891 in Fort Jennings, Ohio, the son of Frederick and Katherine Kramer.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul church of Shepherd.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 a. m. from St. Vincent de Paul church in Shepherd. Rosary service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday from the Garber funeral home. Garber is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving is his wife Elizabeth Mary Doepker Kramer; three brothers, Ed of Detroit, Barney and Fritz of Fort Jennings, Ohio, and one sister, Mrs. Anne Schimmler of Fort Jennings.

He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sanford and the U.A.W. Local No. 522 Retirees. He had been an inspector at the Chevrolet Service Parts Plant for 32 years, retiring in 1970. Surviving are three sons. one daughter and their spouses, Thomas and Lucille Stack. Beaverton; William and Bonnie Stack, Saginaw; Elaine and Robert Kushon, Saginaw; David and Carol Stack, Bay City. nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Alice Ostrowski. Hemlock; many nieces and nephews. Five broth-ers predeceased him. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Snow Fu-neral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. between Shattuck and McCarty. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Gerald Kukla with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
