Julianne M. Lounds, 50, of St. Johns, died Dec. 23, 2003. She was born in St. Johns Jan. 10, 1953, the daughter of Philip "Carl" and Mildred (Thelen) Smith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a home school mom. Julianne married Gregory Lounds in Pewamo Sept. 14, 1973, and he survives her. Also surviving are her children, Jeremy, Ryan, Derek, Courtney, Jonathan, Kyle, Christopher and Joshua; parents, Carl and Millie Smith; father-in-law, Al (Marge) Lounds; and brothers and sisters, Dave (Germaine) Smith, Rosemary (Luke) Koenigsknecht, Al (Sharon) Smith, Kathy (Randy) Schafer, Therese (Dean) Miller, Rick (Maureen) Smith, Nancy (Dave) Lawrence, Sharon (John) Mann, Marilyn (David) Heinle, Paul (Beth) Smith and Brian (Stephany) Smith. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Arlene Lounds. Funeral services were held Dec. 27 at the First Baptist Church, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery with Pastor Tim Knaus officiating. Memorials may be made to the Lounds Chil-dren Education Fund.

RECKINGER, Kirk J. "Tirchian"; of Almont; formerly of Waterford; passed away after a courageous battle on August 11, 2020; at the age of 54. Beloved husband of Tiffany Reckinger; son of Patricia Gilbert; loving brother of Brooke Reckinger; cherished uncle of Cody and Elijah; great-uncle of Brayden; preceded in death by his father Gerald Reckinger Sr. and brother Gerald Reckinger Jr.
Kirk was a MacGyver of all sorts, he was a creator who explored many different avenues, such as blacksmithing and woodworking. He was proud to work with his wife Tiffany in their candle making business "9 Designs Emporium". Kirk was honored for the opportunity to serve his country in the U.S. Marines. He loved special effects, custom makeup and appreciated the art of lighting. Kirk enjoyed working with his friend Tom while creating and operating "The House of Fear" attraction in Hazel Park.
Friends may visit Monday 4-8pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 12:30pm at the funeral home.

Mark E. Blonde, 72, of Litchfield, passed away, Sunday, January 29, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 27. 1950, in Albion, to Marion "Tuffy" and Mary (Avery) Blonde. Mark graduated from Litchfield High School in 1969. Mark married his high school sweetheart Kathleen (Presti) Oc-tober 11, 1969, and she survives. Mark started out working for Simpson Industries and later opened Blonde Farm Supply in 1974 which he owned and operated until 1997. Mark had a passion for his business employees, family, racing, cattle/4H, playing cards, telling stories and snowmobiling. He was involved in 4-H at the Hillsdale County Fair. In addition to his wife, Kathy, Mark is survived by three children, Matthew (Carrie) Blonde, Julie Blonde and Chad (Teresa) Blonde, all of Litchfield; three brothers, Steve (Cindy) Blonde of Litchfield, Philip (Pam) Blonde of Jonesville and Scott (Leandra) Blonde of Denver, Colorado; and eight grandchildren, Carissa, Kyle, Quentin, Madison, Courtney, Sarah, Tyler and Izabella. Mark was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation for Mark E. Blonde will be Thursday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Litchfield. Interment will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Litchfield at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the National MS Society and Hillsdale County 4-H Youth. Obituary:
MORENCI-George Roberson Kuykendall, age 95, formerly of Morenci and Temperance, died Saturday morning, August 23, 2025, at Drews Place at Village Green in Hillsdale. He was born July 12, 1930, in Brooksville, FL, to the late James and Lena (Leggett) Kuykendall.
George proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He enlisted in 1947 and moved up in rank to Master Sargeant. He was awarded a Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, and the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars before his honorable discharge in 1954.
After retirement from the Morenci Super Valu, he and Joan spent winters in Florida and summers at Green Valley Campground in Morenci. Together, they enjoyed fishing and traveling with family. While In Florida, George volunteered in the Inverness American Legion Honor Guard.
George spent his last year living with his granddaughter Skylar and enjoying the company of his great-grandson Gavien. He will be deeply missed.
George is survived by three daughters, two sons, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in his death by his wife, Joan (Burns) Kuykendall; daughter, Shirley Zieler; siblings, Marie Marek, Gladys Bowles, Billy Kuykendall, Wilma Parker and Leon Kuykendall.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. A celebration of his life will follow at the Morenci American Legion Post 368.

Shirley Diane Zeiler (n�ee Kuydendall), aged 61, passed away on August 20, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio. Born on July 23, 1963, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, she grew up to be a beacon of kindness and generosity, touching the lives of everyone around her. Shirley graduated from Morenci High School before earning a master's degree in English from Adrian College. She built a fulfilling career as a Retail Manager, where she was respected by her colleagues for her leadership and warmth. Family was the cornerstone of Shirley's life. She was a devoted grandmother, cherishing every moment with her grandchildren, Gavien, Aubree, kenadee, and Corey. Her adventures across Michigan with them were among her most cherished memories. Shirley was an Amazing mother to her children Skylar Wilsman and Tyler Johnston. Shirley was also a loving sister to Kathy Blonde, Evelyn (Richard) Barve, Donna (Tom) Hecht; brothers Randy (Sue) Clement, and Mark (Marty) Clement. She was a beloved daughter to her father, George Kuykendall. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Zeiler; her mother, Deloris Jean Baldwin; and her stepmother Joann Kuykendall. A true outdoors enthusiast, Shirley relished camping, kayaking, and crafting. Her social gatherings often included spirited card games and going to garage sales. She and her late husband Jeff enjoyed showcasing their 1936 Ford 3-window coop at car shows, a hobby that brought them much joy and camaraderie. A luncheon to celebrate Shirley's life will be held on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Sylvania Moose Lodge, 6072 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family. Shirley's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the deep bonds of family. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her and loved her.
