Alden J. Froblom, age 81, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. He was born on September 15, 1940, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Mauritz Froblom and Esther (Segersven) Froblom Rachey. Alden attended the Iron River Schools and graduated from Iron River High School with the class of 1958. He was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1960 to 1962 as a medic. Alden married Mary (Collier) Parmentier on October 2, 1999, in Green Bay, WI. The couple cel-ebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary this year. He was employed for 38 years as a foreman and pipe fitter and welder for Gabe's Construction in Sheboygan, WI. Alden was a member of the Local 400 Steam and Pipe Fitters Union and member and past treasurer of the Iron County Engineers Club. He had been a trustee of the Iron River Township Board, a member of the Iron River Township Planning Commission, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Iron County Fair. Alden was also a member of the AMVETS Post #436 (Beachwood) and the Veterans Trust Fund. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and living on the Iron River. He also enjoyed taking his Harley motorcycle on trips and was a member and past director of the Green Bay Harley Owners group. Alden is survived by his wife, Mary; daugh-ters, Carrie (Tom) Blohowiak of Green Bay, WI and Cindy (John) McClure of Green Bay, WI; stepchildren, Natalie (Brett) Killion and Nathan (Suzi) Amore: grandchildren, Nick Wetherell and Timothy, Teagan, Cora, and Maryssa Blohowiak, Adriannc Killion; great grandson, Brian Wetherell; beloved dog, Charlie; extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Doepker and brother, Charles "Tuna" Froblom. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Wendell N. Wilson, 79, of South Bend passed away Friday November 15 at the Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Mr. Wilson was born at Versailles, on September 23, 1923 the son of Ralph and Ruth Neil Wilson, both deceased. He was the widower of Lorraine Anderson Wilson. He was a 1942 graduate of Versailles High School and was a graduate of the Butler University School of Pharmacy. He was a Navy veteran of WW II. Mr. Wilson was an independent pharmacist having owned and operated drug stores in South Bend, Portage. Hobart, Niles, Michigan, and Dowagiac, Michigan. He retired from the K Mart Pharmacy. Survivors include his sons, Scott Wilson of South Bend, Nels Wilson of Cassopolis, Michigan, and Joe Wilson of Grand Rapids, Michigan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters Reva McGowen of Indianapolis, Eva Everage of Louisville, and Marjorie Pohle of Leesburg, Florida. He was preceded in death by his brothers Billy and Gene. Funeral services will be Thursday November 21st at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Michael Hendrix officiating. Calling will be Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Versailles American Legion of which he was a member. Memorials may be given to the Versailles American Legion.

Lorraine was the daughter of Otto B. ANDERSON and Frieda M. RUBAL.
She was a graduate of Manistee High School, Class of 1941.
Lorraine had worked most of her life as a registered nurse. She retired from Berrien General Hospital in Berrien Springs.
She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee.
She was survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth WILSON of Grand Rapids, Nels and Donna WILSON of Cassopolis, and Scott WILSON of Mishawaka, Indiana; grandchildren, Cari, Jessica, Joshua, Cody and Baylee; sister, Florence SCHUELKE of Manistee, and several nieces.
Funeral services and burial were held 7 December 1997, with the Rev. James MOEHRING officiating.

POIRIER. Jules R. Poirier, 56, of New Rd., Avon, President of the Jules R. Poirier Company, died Friday (Oct. 25, 1996), at Hartford Hospital. Born in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada son of the late Tilmon Poirier and Agnes (LeBlanc) Poirier of New Brunswick, Canada, he lived in Avon since 1975. Jules owned and operated Jules R. Poirier Company, siding, roofing, and replacement windows since 1955 in the greater Hartford area which is now operated by his son Jules J. Poirier. He was member of the National Remodelers Association and St. Ann Church, Avon. He leaves his wife Vivian (Gallant) Poirier; a son, Jules J. Poirier of Avon; three brothers Paul of New Brunswick, Canada, Edgar of Canton, and Raymond of Torrington; three sisters, Ida Maillete of Avon, Jean Malliete of South Windsor, and Cecile Scheidel of Canton; and a granddaughter Julia Poirier of Grand Rapids, MI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday (Oct. 28), 10 a.m., directly at St. Ann Church, 289 Arch Road, Avon. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Gregory Deliyanne, age 89, died July 2, 2011. He was born February 26, 1922, in Grand Rapids, MI to Greek immigrants Pericles and Chrisoula (Gavrilides) Deliyanne. Greg was a 1939 graduate of East Grand Rapids High School and in 1943 achieved his Bachelor Degree in accounting from the University of Grand Rapids (now Aquinas College). He was also a USA Naval Air Corp Pilot graduate in 1944 and served through 1946. Greg was employed for a time with Lawrence Scudder & Co. CPA�s, then began working for The Lansing State Journal in 1948 and retired as Publisher in 1986 . He also served as Publisher of the Lafayette (Indiana) Journal Courier from 1973-1975. He is a past member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Board of Trustees. Throughout his life he served on the Board of many community organizations which included: Mason Lodge #33, Sparrow Hospital, Jr. Achievement, Michigan Colleges Foundation, YMCA, Parkwood YMCA, Woldumar Nature Center, MI Press Association, Charter Member MSU Beaumont Tower Society, Honorary Coaches Club of MSU, MSU President�s Club, Military Officers Association of America-Capital Area Chapter, and Michigan National Bank. He was a member of the Order of A.H.E.P.A., University Club-MSU and Michigan Athletic Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Demetria (Metros) Deliyanne; and sister, Mary (Theodore) Simmons. Surviving are his wife, Helen (Hubbard) Deliyanne; daughter, Helene (Michael) Predhomme; son, Perry (Mary) Deliyanne; two stepdaughters, Nancy (Neil) Henry and Mary (Tom) Ives; grandchildren, William, Gregory L., Gregory D., Malia, and Thomas; sister, Anne Spanos; brother-in-law, Charles (Lynn)Hubbard.
Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1701 E. Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48912. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, MI 48823, with Trisagion Prayers at 7:00 PM.
