Age 75, died January 6, 2005. Born September 12, 1929 in Lansing. Mr. Palmer graduated from Pittsford High School, Pittsford, MI and served with the U.S. Navy. He worked for 10 years at Fisher Body and was employed for 37 years with Lansing Mercy Ambulance. He enjoyed, fishing and studying about WWII. He was preceded in deathby his daughter, Deborah Jean Neal in 2000. Surviving are his wife, Betty; 2 daughters, Elizabeth Palmer of Paradise, CA and Lorraine (Michael) Spencer of Henning, TN; 2 sons, Mark (Janice) Palmer of Lansing and Paul (Kim) Palmer of Texas; stepsons, Bartly (Linda) Dixon and Eric Dixon both of Lansing 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Langford (Gloria) Palmer of Rose Lake, ID, Lowell (Donna) Palmer of Salida, CO, Rodney (Charlene) Palmer of Rock, MI and Douglas (Diana) Palmer of Post Falls, ID. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 10, 10:00 AM at the Goraline-Runciman Co, Lansing Chapel, 900 E Michigan Avenue, Lansing with Elder Rod Dunneback of the 7th Day Adventist Church, Lansing and Pastor Greg Campbell of the Church of Christ, Wixom, officiating. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Okemos with Military services provided by the VFW Post 701, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Sunday from 5-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Ingham Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services, 401 E. Greenlawn, Lansing, MI 48910 in memory of Mr. Palmer.
