Tammra (Ricks) Fowler
AUGUST 12, 1960 - NOVEMBER 2, 2018 (AGE 58)
She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the Universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings ~ (author unknown) Tammy departed this world under a new moon on Friday, November 2 after a long battle with COPD. She was born in San Diego, California on August 12, 1960 to George Wayne Ricks and Lynda (Anderson) Luther. Tammy moved to Michigan in 1994 with her three children. She married Ken Fowler on June 24, 2002; and they have resided in Harbor Springs since that time. Tammys greatest joy came from her family (human, canine, and feline!) and her friends. She loved the beauty of nature, and every animal she ever saw; and she celebrated nature through her art, photography, and gardening. Tammy was an extraordinary cook, and showcased her talents in private catering. Her career in the Hospitality Industry focused primarily on catering and bar tending.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father; and is survived by her husband Ken, her
mother Lynda Luther (and Bill), daughters Bethany Roll (and Jim), Rachel Booth (and Stephanie), son Florencio Tony Beltran, grand children Sami, Ziggy, and Maddie, sister Tanya McElrath (and Ron), brothers Michael Ricks (and Kimberly), and Tony Ricks as well as many very special Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Tammy also leaves behind her amazing Hospice care-givers who had become her Angels on Earth.
Tammys family invites friends to join them in celebrating her life on Sunday, November 11th from 2-4 p.m. at the Crows Nest, 4601 N. State Rd. Harbor Springs, MI 49740 (just south of Cross Village).
Arrangements were in care of Stone Funeral Home.
