Obituary:
Mrs. Rosa C. Doepker, 63, wife of Edward Doepker, died Thursday afternoon at her home near Shepherd after an illness of three weeks.
She was born August 30, 1886, in Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of Barney and Ann Giesken. She came to this community in 1919 and was wed soon to Edward Doepker. Their marriage was the first to be solemnized In the St. Vincent de Paul church in Shepherd. She was a member of the Altar Society of the church and the Helping Hands society.
Besides her husband, she Is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Howard Bigelow of Elwell, Mrs. Ivan Baldwin of Eaton Rapids; Mrs. Joe Fanning of St. Louis, and Mrs. Vincent Seifker of Lansing; two sons, Carl of Lansing and Donald of Mendon; a sister, Mrs. Otto Meyer of St. Louis; a brother, Albert Giesken of Alma; 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Rosary services will be held at the Garber Funeral Home, Sunday, November 21, at 8 pm. The St. Vincent de Paul church will be the scene of the funeral mass, the following day at 10 a. m., with Rev. Fr. T.J. Bolger officiating. Interment will be at the St. Vincent de Paul cemetery In Shepherd.

Obituary:
Mrs. Elizabeth M. Kramer, 78, died at Central Michigan Community Hospital Thursday evening. She was the wife of the late Ferdinand Kramer who died in 1952. Mrs. Kramer lived in the Shepherd area since 1909. She was born March 2, 1883 in Glandorf, Ohio.
Surviving are: three brothers, Ed Doepker of Shepherd, Albert of Appleton, Wisconsin and Neil of Saginaw; one sister, Mrs. Christina Bruskotter of St. Louis.
Rosary will be said in the Garber Funeral Home in Shepherd Sunday at 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 Monday art St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery.
