A prayer service will be held at the home Monday evening at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Doepker. who had lived to Shepherd and vicinity for the past 35 years. was born at Fort Jennings. 0hio May 29,1880. She was married to Matt Doepker May 27. 1903 Surviving besides the husband are four sons. Vincent of Shepherd. Sgt. Norbert Doepker in the Hawiian Islands. Raymond of Lansing and Ralph of Detroit. and six daughters, Mrs. Hilda Gorman. Mrs. Clara Schepetof. Mrs. Valita Archer. SCHEPETOF, CLARA D. Lansing Age 93, passed away Sunday, August 29, 1999. Clara was born June 21, 1906, to Anna and Mathias Doepker in Kalida, OH. They moved to Shepherd, MI, in 1912. She came to Lansing in 1928 and married Nick Schepetof on January 22, 1932. Clara worked at Fisher Body from 1928 until her retirement in 1965. She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church; the Catholic Women's Club; St. Casimir's Guild; U.A.W. Local #602; and was a volunteer from 1965-1997 at Lansing General Hospital. Surviving are her sister, Kathryn (Clare) Hogan of Carson City; 2 sisters-in-law, Irene Doepker of Shepherd and Irene Doepker of Carson City; brother-in-law, Howard Harrison of Hollywood, FL. She was a very loving aunt to 22 nieces and nephews and 42 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nick; 4 sisters; and 4 brothers. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 31, 11 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Palmer-Bush Lansing Chapel where a prayer service will be held Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church; St. Vincent DePaul Society; or to a charity of one's own choice, in memory of Clara D. Schepetof.

Vincent L. Doepker, 48, resident of Shepherd died Friday evening at his home of a heart attack.
Mr. Doepker was owner of the Leonard Gas Station in Shepherd, and has been a resident of Shepherd all of his life. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul church, Knights of Columbus, and the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Brown, two daughters, Karen and Kay and two sons, Jim and Bob.

Valita Archer, 81, of Pensacola died Tuesday at the Pensacola Sacred Heart Hospital. The service will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Tallahassee, where she was a member, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at Culley's MeadowWood Riggins Road Chapel. Family will receive friends following the Rosary. A native of Kalida, Ohio, she had lived in Tallahassee since 1948. She was a retired secretary for the state Department of Banking. She was a Pink Lady at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center, and a member of the St. Catherine's Circle at Blessed Sacrament, the Nautical Society and Church Women United. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Scimone of Lakeland and Carol Barwick of Pensacola; a brother, Ray Doepker of Owosso, Mich.; two sisters, Clara Schepetof of Lansing, Mich., and Kathryn Hogan of Carson City, Mich.; and six grandchildren.

Raymond A. Doepker
Age 75, of 204 Goodhue Owosso, died Tuesday, May 28, 1991, at The Memorial Hospital, Owosso.
Mr. Doepker retired from Owosso Lyons Merchandise in 1981 after 28 years of Service. He was previously employed with A&P Food Stores for over 25 years.
The funeral mass will be held from the St. Paul Catholic Church, Owosso, Friday, May 31, 12 noon with the Rev. Fr. Robert Dr. Kolenski officiating. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Doepker was born in Shepherd, the son of Matthew and Anna (Bruskotter) Doepker. He and Jeanne Richmond were married in Owosso, Oct 26, 1940. Mr. Doepker was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church, Owosso Lodge 753 BPOE. and Knights of Columbus, Council l139, Owosso. He was a resident of Owosso for the past 35 years.
Survivors include: his wife Jeanne; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Pamela) Clark of Monroe, Sue Ann Clark of Commerce, Texas; five grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Schepetof of Lansing. Mrs. Clare (Katheryn) Hogan of Carson City; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Doepker was predeceased by an infant son, Thomas Richmond and an infant granddaughter, Susan Marie Clark, four sisters an three brothers.
Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association of Michigan and the St. Paul Catholic Church. Arrangements by Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso.

Obituary:
Henry Doepker, eldest son of Henry V.and Anna Doepker, was born August 17, 1853 in Glandroff Co., Ohio and died May 4, 1926.
In 1875 he was married to Clara Swartzengraber. To this union three children were born - Andrew, who died at the age of one year, and Lewis and Matt. The first wife died in 1881 and Mr. Doepker in 1882 married Mary Kramer. To this union nine children were born, Ida dying at the age of 10 years.
Those who survive are: Edward of Sumner, Albert of Wisc., Alex of Kalkaska, Cornelius of Saginaw, Elizabeth, Christina, Arnold and Hubert, who all reside in the vicinity of Shepherd. Hubert during the past two years having lived on his father's farm and operated it for him. There are also 35 grandchildren.
The funeral was held Friday morning at the Catholic church and was largely attended. Eight sons acted as pall bearers. Interment in the Catholic cemetery south of Shepherd.

DOEPKER FUNERAL IS HELD TODAY
Funeral Services for Lewis J. Doepker, supervisor of Owosso Township, who died early last Saturday morning, were held this morning at St. Paul's Catholic Church. The rites were held at 10 o'clock and were largely attended. Members of the Board of Supervisors attended in a body, and there were several county officials present, as well as his old friends and neighbors.
The Rev. Fr. J. W. Courtney officiated, and burial took place at the Catholic Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Thomas Dwyer, Sr., William Dwyer, Sr., Claude Luckhurst, Louis Simpson, Ray Godard and B. J. Kuhlman. Flower bearers were Misses Margaret Moroney, Anna Dwyer, Dorothy Turnwalt and Ann Buckley.

She and Ray Doepker were married in Owosso, Oct. 26, 1940. He passed away May 28, 1991. She had resided in Owosso since 1956 and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include: daughters, Pam and Jerry Clark of Monroe, Sue Clark of Commerce, Texas; five grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren; a sister, Janet and Chet Aubuchon of Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ray; a son, a granddaughter, and a brother.
