Obituary:
BUSHMAN, MELVIN D. 1919-2006. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, for Melvin Bushman who died June 19 at the age of 87. Following the burial at Mt. Calvary, a reception will be held at the home of Jerry Bushman. Mr. Bushman was born May 24, 1919, in Wolf Point, Mont., where he was raised. He served in the Army at Camp Murray and then moved to Portland with his bride, Irene LaViolette, in 1942. He was a crew leader for N.W. Natural Gas for 35 years, retiring in 1982. Mel was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and was active in the church and its athletic programs as a coach. As a youth, Mel was a skilled athlete and is still remembered in Montana. He liked to golf, listen to Bob Wills and Lawrence Welk, attend his grandchildren's games and spend time with his family. He was extremely generous and loved children. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Irene; son Jerry Bushman; daughter-in-law, Mimi Bushman; brothers, Francis and Ivan; sister, Sis; three grandchildren, Joe, Jerry Walker, and Amy; and three great-grandchildren, Allie, Jake, and Ethan. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph, who died in 1966 in Nevada while serving in the Air Force as Airman 2nd Class.

Obituary:
Gary Hall passed away peacefully on August 3rd. He grew up in Port Hueneme, CA and graduated from Hueneme HS. Shortly after marrying the love of his life, Paulette, Gary was sent to Vietnam to fly helicopters for the US Army. In his 26 year career he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Bronze Star Medal with Valor. After retiring he worked for Lockheed Martin, the Department of Energy, and started his own flying school. He regularly attended Burning Man and was an active member of the VHPA. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Gary is survived by his wife, son Jasen, daughter Kristie, and grandson Ethan who will miss him incredibly. There will be a memorial service at Tahoma National Cemetery on Sept 11 at 2:30pm and a reception at VFW Post 969 in Tacoma.
