Charlotte went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the age of 93.
Charlotte was born in Antigo, WI to the late Leonard and Verna (Pautz) Parsons on September 27, 1923, Charlotte married Sylvester Holub at St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Polar, WI on December 15, 1945. They resided in Antigo, WI until 1962 when they moved to Fond du Lac, WI Charlotte worked in the Fond du Lac School System as a cook at the High School. She also worked at Wells Mfg in Fond du Lac and Green Giant Canning Company in Rosendale. In 1969 Charlotte and Sylvester moved to Appleton, WI. Charlotte loved to cook, have picnics in the park, Friday Night Fish Fries, and gardening. She worked with the caretakers at Riverside Cemetery for several years. Charlotte loved spending time with her family and friends. When Charlotte retired she became the cook at Mount Olive Evangelical Lutheran School. Charlotte cooked daily lunches for approximately 125 children daily and she helped canned and freeze fruit and vegetables that were donated to the lunch program by parishioners. She baked and cooked for the children, many times from scratch by just increasing the ingredients of her own home recipes. In 1996 Charlotte and Sylvester moved to Greenfield Manor in Little Chute, WI. Charlotte enjoyed the company of all of her neighbors while living there. She would help out the neighbors that were ill or not able to take care of themselves by cooking meals and delivering them to their apartments. She enjoyed the Pot Luck Suppers that they had at Greenfield Manor every Thursday night. It was not an unusual sight to see several of her neighbors gathering to get into her van and she would drive them to summer concerts in the park or to various events. She also would take them to appointments when they needed a ride. Charlotte loved to help other people however she could. In 2010 Charlotte moved to Fox River Assisted Living in Appleton. She resided there until 2015 at which time she moved to Atrium Post Acute Care in Little Chute.
Charlotte loved her Lord and was always ready to serve Him however she could. She was a member of Mt Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church (WELS). She served on the Altar Guild & was a member of their Ladies Aide for many years.
Charlotte is survived by her four children, Barbara Swift (Special Friend Mike Pahlow), Oshkosh, WI; Curtis (Jean) Holub, Robbinsdale, MN; David (Deborah) Holub, Black Creek, WI; Nancy (Bill) Lucht, Antigo, WI; her 11 Grandchildren, Trevor (Julie) Peterson, Carter (Sara) Peterson, Chadwick (Nicole) Peterson, James Holub, Martin (Heather) Holub, Christa (Derek) Kannas, Aaron (Diana) Holub, Neil (Michelle) Holub, Sara Holub, Andrew (Melanie) Lucht, Jill (Bill McKelvey) Lucht; her 18 Great-Grandchildren, Brittany & Cody Peterson, Declan Peterson, Shaylynn Peterson; Payton, Jonathan, and Corban Holub; Mackenzie, Caleb and Jacob Kannas; Eli, Gideon and Joshua Holub; Gretchen, Gordon, Nolan, Evelyn & Reuben Lucht. Charlotte is further survived by her sisters Lois Wendt, Kaukauna, WI and Emily Parsons, Shawano, WI; a brother-in-law David Goese, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester; her son, Joseph; her parents; two sisters Elva Brandt & Thelma Goese; her brothers-in-law Herbert Brandt and Wilburn Wendt; a sister-in-law and brother-in law, Ruth and Emmanuel Holub; and her nephew, Edward Brandt.
A Christian Funeral for Charlotte will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016, at MOUNT OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 E. Florida Avenue, Appleton, with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Atrium Post Acute Care in Little Chute for their loving care. Sylvester G. Holub Age 81, entered into Eternal Life on Saturday, July 20, 2992 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on April 27, 1921 in Michigan, the son of the late Emmanuel and Anna (Kalcik) Holub. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the Oney Johnston-Edward Blessman Post #38 of the American Legion and the Harvey Pierre Post #2778 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. On December 15, 1945 he married Charlotte A. Parsons of Antigo, WI and they engoyed 56 years together. He was employed by Fox VCalley Technical Institute as a payroll accountant and also tauht accounting courses and tax preparation classes there. He was a longtime member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Appleton and was a member of the church choir for many years. He is survived by his wife Charlotte of Little Chute, his children: Barbara (Keith) Swift of Neenah, Rev. Curtis (Jean) Holub of Brooklyn Park. MN, David (Deborah) Holub of Black Creek and Nancy (William) Lucht of Antigo; his sisters: Viola Gotstein of Texas, Myrtle (Leo) Griese of Greensboro, CA, and sister-in-law Ruth Holub of Two Rivers, WI; his grandchildren" Trevor (Julie) Peterson , and Carter (Sarah) Peterson all of Fond du Lac; Chad Peterson of Eldorado, WI; James Holub of Madison, Martin (Heather) Holub of Beach Park. IL, Christa and Aaron Holub of Brooklyn Park. MN; Neil and Sara Holub of Black Creek. Andrew (Melanie) Lucht of Jefferson City, MO; and two great grandchildren Brittany and Cody Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Joseph, and two brothers, Harry and Emmanuel, and three sisters and brothers-in-law Lillian (Andrew) Miller, Erma (George) Arle, and Sylvia (Sidney) Leyse, and Ervin Gotstein. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at 2:00PM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 930 East Florida Avenue in Appleton with the Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Internment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 North Superior Street on Monday from 4-8 PM and on Tuesday at the church from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

Edward W. Gallas Sr., Gallas Rd., Oconto Falls, age 86, died Thursday morning at a Green Bay Hospital. He was born October 8, 1901 in Oconto Falls. On November 27, 1923 he married Mary Konitzer in Oconto Falls; she preceded him in death on June 28, 1982. Mr. Gallas lived all of his life in Oconto Falls, where he owned and operated a dairy farm until retiring in 1971. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He loved hunting, fishing and farm life. Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law: George and Delores, Two Rivers; Edward Jr. and Linda, Menasha; four daughters and sons-in-law: Geraldine (Jerry) and Floyd Gagnon, Elaine and Francis (Joe) Schaal, all of Rhinelander; Evelyn and Bernard Delveaux, JoAnne and Walter Kardoskee, all of Oconto Falls; 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Julia Konitzer, Mrs. Josephine Spice, both of Oconto Falls. He also was preceded in death by his first-born daughter, Ann; two brothers; and a sister. Friends may call at Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls, after 4 p m. today. Prayer service will be 7 p.m. this evening. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church-, Oconto Falls, with Father Michael Clifford officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Lucille M. Smith, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on June 20, 1921, daughter of the late John and Mary (Conlon) Moriarity.Lucille had been united in marriage to Bert Smith, at St. Therese, in Appleton; he preceded her in death on April 21, 1994.
After marrying her husband she became a happy homemaker. Her family would wake every Saturday morning to the smell of the fresh baked bread that she loved to make by hand. She enjoyed reading the daily newspaper and would remember every article, for she would not skip a one. For relaxation, Lucille loved to sit and read romance novels, of all things! Lucille enjoyed shoveling snow right up until the end! Her neighbor, Dave, said that she would almost wait for the snow to fall so she could shovel some more. Lucille would wait and watch for the mail lady and talk her ear off when she arrived. She loved to go and walk around Woodman�s just so she could talk and visit with all the shoppers. She had been a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, for most of her life.
Lucille will be missed by her loving five children: Kathy (Gilbert) Mader, Greenville, David (special friend: Debbie) Smith, Phoenix, AZ, Bill (Debbie) Smith, Neenah, Pat (fianc�e: Diane Novak) Smith, Neenah, John (Brenda) Smith, Town of Clayton; eight grandchildren: Brenda Smith, Scott (Adella) Smith, Todd (Cindy) Smith, Justin (Meko) Raley, Heather (Ryan) Fulcer, Eric (Crystal) Smith, Robyn (Mike) Rodgers, Tyler Smith; two step-grandchildren: Christy and Nicole Gallas; eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Delores Matyka, Patricia Moriarity; nieces, nephews, special friends: Cheryl Witte, Trudy Halverson and Bernice Smith; other family members and friends.
Lucille was also preceded in death by six brothers: Eugene, Dan, Bill, Maurice, John, and Leonard; two sisters: Katherine and Margaret and special niece, Norma.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on FRIDAY, September 19, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Fr. Larry Canavera officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, in Menasha.

Bert M. Smith 929 9th St., Menasha, age 77, passed away Thursday morning April 21, 1994 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah. Bert was born April 11, 1917 in Fessenden, North Dakota, the son of John and Bertha (Burgstahler) Smith. He had been a resident of Menasha most of his life and was employed by Ed Zeininger Transfer Company and Badger Highway, where he retired from. He married Lucille Moriarity on July 10, 1948. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of St Mary Catholic Church, Menasha. He is survived by his wife, Lucille; a daughter, Kathy and Gilbert Mader, Kimberly; four sons: David and his friend, Suzanne, North Hollywood, California; Bill and Debbie, Pat and Terri, John and his friend, Brenda, all of Neenah; a sis-ter, Lois (Ed) Robinson, Corvallis, Oregon; seven grandchildren: Brenda, Scott, Todd, Justin, Heather, Eric and Robyn; two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Floyd and Lee Smith; four sisters: Kate Moran, Irene Fischer, Virginia Travis, Savannah Lee. Funeral services will be Monday April 25, 1994 at 10 a.m. at the Laemmrich Funeral Home, Menasha and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Robert Lussier S.S.S. officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. There will be a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. A memorial has been established.
