Georgia (Clayborn) Koyl died January 2, 2017, in The Villages Florida after a long illness of Alzheimers. She lived to reach her goal and celebrated her 100th birthday on October 9, 2016.
Georgia was born in 1916 in Sturgis, MI, to Estella and George Olds. She moved to Marshall in 1926, and graduated from Marshall High School. She married William Clayborn in 1935 and had four children: Bill, George, Mike and Richard.
Georgia and William owned and operated the Clayborn Coal Company for approximately 15 years, which is located where currently the Advisor is located in Marshall. They sold the coal business and purchased a farm on A Drive North and began farming, as well as raising and selling chickens and eggs. They retired in 1969 and moved to Pine Island, Florida. They enjoyed entertaining, fishing, and golfing. Georgia particularly enjoyed playing bridge and cooking.
While living on Pine Island, Georgia received her real estate license and sold real estate until 1984, when she retired. She was one of four charter members to start the St. John's Episcopal Church on Pine Island. She served on the vestry as well as many other committees for the church. She worked on the Calhoun County annual picnic in the kitchen for many years.
Georgia moved to Leesburg, Florida in 2009 to Independent Care Living at Lake Port Square. She enjoyed all the activities offered at the facility. She really enjoyed bridge, Bingo, and Skip-Bo. In 2012 she moved to Assisted Living and then moved to The Villages, Florida, to Harbor Chase Memory Care May, 2016, where she passed away.
Georgia was a member of Episcopal Church Women and was a Sunday school teacher in Marshall, American Business Women Association, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and a lifetime member of the American Legion.
She was preceded in death by her husbands William Clayborn, Roy Hawkins, Bob Cussen and Lloyd Koyl, and sister Alice Belle Hopkins.
She is survived by her children Bill (Gloria) Clayborn of Marshall, MI; George (Skip) Clayborn of Mesquite, NV; Mike (Dawn) Clayborn of Marshall, MI; and Richard (Katie) Clayborn of Leesburg, FL ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great great grand-children.
Memorial service will be held January 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. John's Episcopal Church.

Dorothy Allread (Krul) of Jackson passed Thursday February 18, 2010 at Allegiance Health surrounded by her family. Age 68. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Alan (Dick); daughter Carol (Mark) Kostrzewa of Jackson; son Scott (Karen) Allread of Marshall; grandchildren, Corrina & Marcus Kostrzewa, and Caitlin & Jacob Allread; sister, Sharon Chapman and Terri Krul both of Jackson; nephew, Mike (Shannon) Chapman and his daughter Alexis; several cousins including Pat Zakrzewski. Preceded in death by her parents, Thaddeus and Josephine Krul. Dorothy worked for Aeroquip for 10 years. She was a very good cook and baker and put her talents to work as a cake decorator at Othello's Restaurant. She loved sewing and was formerly President at St. Mary's Alter Society and formerly belonged to St. Anne's Circle. Dorothy is at the Lauer Family Funeral Home in Jackson where her family will receive friends on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church with Father Randy Miller officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be directed to Allegiance Hospice. Dorothy's family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of RAI, Heartland Care Home and Allegiance Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

EAST BARRE - Ruth K. MacAskill, 96, a longtime East Barre resident, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin.
Born Oct. 1, 1915, in Thetford, she was the daughter of John and Glenn Cora (Staples) Kinsman. She attended Thetford Elementary School and graduated from Thetford Academy in 1931. She went on to obtain her teaching certificate from Lyndon Normal School and began her teaching career. She taught at the Edward's School in Williamstown, and later in Orange, Cookeville, and for several years in Washington.
Ruth was married to Clifford S. MacAskill. Following their marriage, they made their home in Connecticut and Massachusetts before moving to Graniteville in 1952, and later moved to East Barre. He died Feb. 2, 1957.
She was a member of the East Barre Congregational Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and taught Bible school. Her other memberships included the Teachers' Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Green Hills Homemakers Club.
An avid reader, Ruth enjoyed reading on her Kindle and doing crossword puzzles. She also took great pleasure in traveling. The high points of her travels were visiting the Great Wall of China, attending the Follies in Paris, visiting Germany and England, and cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Wilson, and her husband, Ken, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; three sons, Clifford MacAskill and his wife, Susan, of East Barre, Malcolm MacAskill and his wife, Patty, of Websterville, and Stephen MacAskill and his wife, Valerie, of Bristol, Conn.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; a sister, Margaret Wachs, of Strafford, Conn.; several nieces and nephews.
A brother, John Kinsman, and three sisters, Gretchen Fillmore, Hester MacDonald and Hildegard Kinsman, predeceased her.
Her graveside service will take place in the Wilson Cemetery in Websterville at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
Ruth's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Woodridge Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to their mother during her stay there.

Obituary:
Linda J. Johnson was born on May 20, 1947 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of seven children born from the union of John L. and Helen L. (Tyra) Johnson Sr. Linda met and quickly fell in love with Radis G. �Butch� Russeau. The couple tied the knot on December 26, 1961 in Monroe, Michigan. This marriage would be blessed with four children.
Linda enjoyed sewing and she especially cherished the times she spent making quilts with her sister: Grace; sister-in-law: Barb and niece: Dawn. Above anything, family was of the utmost importance to Linda. She was a great wife, a wonderful mother, and the best grandmother anyone could ask for. She was well loved by many and will be missed by all.
Linda Joyce Russeau, age 73, passed away on December 6, 2020 at 5:01p.m. due to complications of cancer and Covid-19. In addition to her passing, she is preceded by both her parents, one sister: Brenda Smith and two brothers: Gerald Johnson and Mike Johnson.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her best friend and husband of fifty-nine years: Radis G. �Butch� Russeau, Sr.; Children: Radis (Tina) Russeau, Jr., Kathy (Avery) Howard, Jon Paul (Annette Navarre) Russeau and Helen (Rick) Clark; sibling: John L. Johnson Jr., Grace Richter, and Ruth Evans; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Linda also leaves her trusty sidekick: Sassy, who is lost, as her entire family is without her.
Family and friends may gather on Thursday December 10, 2020 from 3:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. Funeral services are private for family only with an interment at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Christina Zink "Tina" Marshall Christina "Tina"" Carol Zink, age 51 of Marshall died on Saturday, July 27, 2002 at her home under the loving care of her family. Tina was born on October 23, 1950 in Battle Creek, to John and Barbara (Seitler) Chisholm. She was raised in Battle Creek, graduating from St. Philip High School. On October 24, 1970 she married John Zink in Marshall. He survives. Mrs. Zink lived much of her life in the Marshall area, however from 1979-1986 she lived in Arizona. Tina's main occupation was working as a buyer for Collins &: Aikman. Tina was a member at St. Mary Catholic Church. Her hobbies included reading and spending time outdoors. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Along with her husband, Tina is survived by two daughters, Nicole (Brad) Blowers of Marshall, Danielle (Jason) Fuller of Marshall, four grandchildren, Tyler, Tanor & Griffin Blowers, and Landon Fuller all of Marshall, her mother, Barbara Chisholm of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, a brother, Michael (Gretchen) Chisholm of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, two sisters, Paulette (Mike) Becker of Troy, Idaho, Bridget Carnahan of Glendale, Arizona, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation for Tina will take place on Tuesday, July 30, from 12-9PM at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive visitors from 2-4PM & 6-8PM. A prayer service will be held at 7PM. Funeral Services celebrating her life will take place on Wednesday at 10:00AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Reverend Father Stephen Naas officiating. Interment of her cremains will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Oaklawn Hospice or to the West Michigan Cancer Center. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
