Obituary:
Thompson, Sharyn M. December 23, 2017, at her home. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. Fr. David Hannes will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the service. A Pachida (memorial service) will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing Band Boosters. Sharyn was born in Flint, Michigan on March 22, 1963, the daughter of John and Mary Lou (Sharp) Andrykovich. She married Frederick J. Thompson on June 3, 1989, in Flushing and shortly after they moved to Iowa for four years while Fred completed graduate school at the University of Iowa and their first two children were born. Sharyn worked for 25 years as the Office Manager in her husband, Dr. Thompson's dental office. She was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. Sharyn enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She was the quintessential mom, who loved to make sure her family was taken care of. Sharyn is survived by her husband, Dr. Frederick Thompson of Flushing; children, Maxwell Thompson of Flushing, Frances Thompson of Plymouth, Harrison Thompson of Flint; parents, John and Mary Lou Andrykovich of Flushing; brother, Keith and wife Andrea Andrykovich of Owosso; sisters, Julie and husband Eric Johnson of Flushing, Laura and husband Todd Lanxton of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Kathy and husband Tim Wisniewski of Freeland; parents-in-law, James and Rosemary Thompson of Flushing; sister-in-law, Lisa King; brother-in-law, Stephen Thompson; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Obituary:
Sharon L. Johnson of Flushing, age 74, passed away July 13, 2012 at McLaren-Flint Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Pastor Clifford Bira will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church. If desired, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Flushing, MI.
Sharon was born in Flint, Michigan on August 25, 1937, the daughter of Gerb and Marie (Maul) Zuidema. She resided in Flint & Flushing her entire life, where she married Richard L. Johnson on April 23, 1960.
She was a bus driver and instructor for over 30 years with Flushing Community Schools and a secretary for the Flushing Police Department.
Sharon had a love for music, and volunteering. She took piano lessons as a child, which blossomed into a career of more than 50 years as an organist at her church, Holy Cross Lutheran in Flushing. Over the years, she also served as choir director and was a member of several building committees. She was a very devoted volunteer for many years for the American Red Cross and Michigan Heart Association as a First Aid and CPR instructor. Sharon also was an EMT specialist, EMT instructor and a founder of Flushing Area Volunteer Ambulance.
In her free time she enjoyed gardening, making strawberry jam, cooking, and camping on the shores of Lake Michigan in Holland.
She leaves to cherish her memories, husband Richard; four children, Mark and wife Sue Johnson of Holland, MI, Eric and wife Julie Johnson, of Flushing, Dana and husband Mark Newvine, of Bay City, MI, Darrel Johnson of East pointe; six grandchildren, Megan, Jessica, Brian, MacKenzie, Carter and Grace; brother, Jim Zuidema; two aunts, Rose Dothard and Mary Maul and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Gerb & Marie Zuidema, and many aunts & uncles.

Arthur F. Wisniewski, age 73 of Durand, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso. Arthur was born on September 13, 1936 in Maple City, MI the son of Frank and Dorothy (Baatz)Wisniewski. On November 8, 1958 he married Marjorie Richmond in Lake Odessa, MI.
He was a Heavy Equipment operator in the construction field and a member of the Am Vets. He is survived by his wife Marjorie, children; Tim (Kathy), Kerry, Karen Law, Jaime(Annette, Kim (Rob)Scott and Holly (Anthony) Temorio, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.

Obituary:
Laura "Marie" Ayris, 84, of Alma, loving mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 2, 2012, at Masonic Pathways. She succumbed to Alzheimer's disease.
Marie was born on Nov. 18, 1927, in Alma, the daughter of the late Glen and Mazel (Wyman) Ellsworth. She worked at the Alma Dairy and many years at Helman's Market in Alma. Marie was a loving mother who devoted much of her life helping friends and family. She was a great cook and always enjoyed cooking for a crowd.
Survivors include her son, John and Dianne Ayris, of St. Louis, Mich.; grandchildren, Christopher Ayris of Mt. Pleasant, and Kari and David Holmberg of St. Johns; great-grandchildren, Macklin and Griffin Holmberg; and former husband, Richard "Sam" Ayris of Florida.
Marie was preceded in death by her parent; and brothers, Alvin "Bunk" Ellsworth and George "Sonny" Ellsworth of Alma; and sister, Irene Trost of Garden City.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Should friends desire, remembrances can be directed to the St.Louis Senior Center,1329 Michigan Ave., St. Louis, Mich. 48880.
Arrangements were made by the Dewey Funeral Home of Alma.
