Obituary:
William H. Ripke, 74, died March 25, 1988 in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient one day.
Born in Defiance County on Sept. 2, 1913, he was the son of William J. And Anna (Lulfs) Ripke. He married Marjorie Ann Leonard on September 6, 1933 and she survives.
He spent most of his life in Defiance County where he farmed and also was employed at the Central Foundry Div. of General Motors for 22 years, retiring in 1973.
He was a life member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Local UAW 211.
Also surviving are a son, William J., six daughters Joann Harris, Pat Osborn, Lenora Levy, Pamela Florence, Brenda Ankney, and Nancy Fedderke; 23 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a son, Richard; three brothers, Fred, Charles and Henry; and two sisters, Laura Edwards and Edna Beiswenger.
Services will be in the church with Rev. John Place officiating. Burial will follow in Brunersburg Cemetery.

Obituary:
Marjorie Ann Ripke was the daughter of John and Anna (Minck) Leonard. She was born Dec. 24, 1916 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She and William H. Ripke were married on Sept. 6, 1933. He passed away in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Defiance.
William and Marjorie had eight children---Joann Marie, William John, Richard Allen, Patsy Carol, Lenora Mae, Pamela Jean, Brenda Kay, and Nancy Lee, four sisters, Maxine Grant, Theresa Leonard, Betty Haller, Irene Scantlon; two brothers, Louis and John (Jack) Leonard and 23 grandchildren, 28 grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 3 stepgrandchildren and 9 great-stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Richard and William; and a sister, Maxine Grant.
Services will be in the church with Rev. Keith Hunsinger officiating. Burial is in Brunersburg Cemetery.

Obituary:
ALLEN L. ''TUB'' SCHOOLEY, 62, of Hicksville, Ohio, died Friday at home.
The Hicksville native retired March 1 from Dana Corp./Weather-head Division in Antwerp after more than 30 years. His wife, Betty, died in 1962.
Surviving are a daughter, Pam Schooley; a son, Allen; sisters, Doris Schooley, Lois Wheeler and Joyce Schooley; and a brother, Otha, all of Hicksville; and two grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday in Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, where calling is tonight and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Six Corners Cemetery. Memorials are to Hicksville First Church of Christ.
