Karmond Ernest Deatsman, age 85, of East Lansing, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Karmond was born August 2, 1936 in Lansing.
Preceded in death by his parents Eddie Sanford and Alta Mae (Eldridge) Deatsman, and an infant granddaughter, Andrea Smigielski.
Karmond was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was gentle, hardworking and had a generous spirit. Karmond retired from Schaefer's Bakery after 42 years. He loved working in his yard and gardens, taking pride in growing beautiful peonies and iris'. He lovingly cared for his wife Audrey, always putting her needs before his own. He enjoyed being around his family, taking in all the laughter and fun at gatherings. He was an avid MSU Spartans and Detroit Tigers fan.
Those left behind to cherish Karmond's memory include his wife of 67 years Audrey (Smith) Deatsman; a brother; three children; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10 am till 12 noon on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Tiffany Funeral Home.

Audrey June Deatsman, age 85, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Audrey was born September 28, 1937 to Ford and Irene Smith in Lansing, Michigan.
Audrey worked for Wrigley Foods for many years and had a creative spirit. She enjoyed painting, doing puzzles, designing and making jewelry, and baking and making crafts with her grandkids. Most everyone can remember the wonderful Christmases at Audrey and Karmond's house with every inch of the home decorated and their immaculate and stunning trees.
She will be dearly missed by her children; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Ford and Irene Smith; her granddaughter, Andrea Smigielski, and her beloved husband, Karmond.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 10am until 12pm.

Obituary:
Passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Richard "Dick" Abood was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, graduating from St. Mary's Cathedral High School in 1955. He attended Aquinas College and continued on to law school, graduating from the University of Detroit in 1964. In addition to practicing law for 51 years, he was the President/CEO of Inco Graphics for 16 years, and the owner/operator of the Huddle Lounges in Lansing.
Dick was a man with a presence, one whose footprint in life was large and lasting. In keeping with the Lebanese tradition of hospitality, he loved nothing more than cooking for others and sharing a meal over stories that nobody could tell quite like him. He was in his element when in Northern Michigan, especially the Little Traverse Bay area, which held a special place in his heart. He adored being at the helm of his boat, skimming along the lake with a cargo of family and friends. He enjoyed card games and movies, and above all, spending time with his family, who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel and Nabeha (Fawaz) Abood, stepmother Sarah Abood, sisters: Helen Nama and Hilda Kelush, brothers: Hannibal, Fredric and Camille Abood. Dick is survived by his loving wife Jennifer, his children with Sheila Abood: Samuel Abood, Celine (Paul) Terranova, Sarah (Larry) Stump, Rachel (Charles Smith) Abood, and Elizabeth (David) Carroll. He adored his four grandchildren: Samuel and Teddy Terranova and Joseph and Reuben Stump, his mother-in-law, Joan Brown, sister-in-law's: Patricia Abood, Mary Alice Abood, Amy (Sasha) Danilov, Melissa Budd, brother-in-law Tim (Nancy) Brown, and his many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. He considered his dear friend, Kathy O'Neil his "fifth daughter." Likewise, his cousin Rocky Farhat, was loved like a brother, and he shared a special friendship with Tom Doyle, his former law partner.
A reception will be held in his honor on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Country Club of Lansing, 2200 Moores River Drive, Lansing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Lansing Food Bank.

White gladioli were carried by the bride and her attendants and were church decorations for the wedding yesterday of Miss Mary Lou White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David G. White Cazenovia, to James A. McPherson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice McPherson of Saranac Lake, which was per-formed in St. James (Roman Catholic) Church by the Rev. Richard J. Lynch. The bride's. sister, Miss Donna Lee White, was maid of honor and Miss Frances Marion was brides: maid. James C. Jenkins was best man and the ushers were J. San-ford Heim and David J. White, the-bride's brother. The full skirt of the bride's white silk taffeta gown was caught up in two puffs in the back and ended in a chapel train. Her fingertip veil was attached to a pleated taffeta crown. A breakfast was served at Brae Lock Inn, and later e reception for 150 guests took place at the home of the bride. After a trip through New Eng-land and Canada, the couple will live at 614 E. Buffalo st., Ithaca. The bride attended Rochester In-stitute of Technology. Her hus-band, a graduate of LeMoyne Col-lege, attended Cornell. University.

William A. Riedmiller, Sr. beloved father and grandfather
SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---William A. Riedmiller, Sr. 82, of Shinglehouse, formerly of Bushkill, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in Lakeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Smethport, after a long illness.
Born on Friday, December 30, 1938 in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of Franklin and Olive Schoonover Riedmiller. On June 4, 1958 in Bushkill, he married the former Matilda Brauer, who passed away on September 11, 2011.
Bill was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School.
Bill was a heavy equipment mechanic for many years. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons, William (Deb) Riedmiller of Shinglehouse and Joe (Carol) Riedmiller of Remer, Minnesota; two daughters, Janet Orton of Woodbury, Tennessee and Carol (Joe) Gorman of Minton, Michigan; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held in the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, with the Rev. Thomas Brown, pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Sharon Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; sons, Gary (Various) and Scott (Margaret); daughter, Joanne Blair (Roger); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kimberly, Ryan and Katherine; great grandchildren, Grace, Jack and Jacqueline. Mr. Menzel was born in Monroe, Michigan, is a graduate of Michigan State Univeristy, earned a post-graduate degree at Wayne State University and served overseas as a Navy officer in WWII. Virginia A. Menzel, a resident of Beverly Hills since 1963, died May 29, 2011, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was 90 years old. Virginia was born May 26, 1921, in Detroit, to Anna (nee Waltham) and Richard Moore. She was a graduate of Northern High School and Michigan State University. Virginia was an active volunteer for several organizations, among them, Child Research Center League, Open Door Mission at Fort Street Presbyterian Church and Hospice of Southeastern Michigan. She was also active in her church, First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham.
Virginia is survived by her children, Gary Menzel, Scott Menzel, and Joanne (Roger) Blair, and grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kimberly, Ryan, and Katherine. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Grace, Jack, Ella, Jackie, Drew, and Emmy. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, William and granddaughter, Anna.

She lived in Lansing, MI for 60 years before relocating to Kalkaska, MI. She has been wintering in Nokomis for 30 years. She was a secretary for the Michigan State Head of Food Services, in East Lansing, MI before retiring 23 years ago.
She is survived by her children, Richard Hansen of Nokomis, FL and Judy King of Greenville, MI; sister, Joanne Lindsey of Lakeview, MI; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Leo Paul "Waco" Wagner, age 82, of St. Louis, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at Heather Hills in Grand Rapids.
Paul was born April 16, 1941, in Alma, the son of Leo Paul and Ruth (Veeder) Wagner. Paul's father passed away before he was born and his mother re-married Merle Keene, who helped raise him. He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1959. In 1961, he married Judy Nowland and together, they welcomed Michele and Mike into the world. In 1978 he married JoAnn Ellsworth Rodriguez who he had known since childhood. The family grew when JoAnn's children Christina, Paul and Matthew joined the blended family.
He had a strength of character and ethics not commonly found in the world. He had a strong and loyal dedication to his family, friends, and faith.
Paul was a member of Nativity of the Lord Parish, Knights of Columbus, and Elks. He was an avid MSU fan and enjoyed cheering them on at Dagwoods Bar and Tavern in Lansing. Paul enjoyed bike rides after church to get ice cream with his family along the banks of the Red Cedar, bowling, golfing with his family and friends, impeccable dancing and loved going and cheering on his grandchildren at their events.
Paul was an extremely hard worker. He had various careers during his life including, working for the Railroad, owning a Gulf full-service gas station in Lansing, Lobdell Emery and in his retirement owning rental properties, being the maintenance manager for LaBelle Properties and was the caretaker for NOTL Parish.
Paul and JoAnn enjoyed their year-round second home near Lake Margrethe in Grayling, where they opened their home to family and friends for the next 40 years. During these years, between boating, golfing and card games, there were endless laughs, memories made and loved shared.
He is survived by his daughter Michele (John) Gutkowski, son Michael (Jenny) Wagner, stepdaughter Christina (Tim) Scarpino, stepsons Paul (Glenda) Rodriguez, Matthew (Tim Bowlin) Rodriguez, nine grandchildren, Joe (Holly) Gutkowski, Richard Gutkowski, Natalie Wagner, Sarah (Douglas) Bell, Andrew (Taylor) Gutkowski, Blaire (Joey) Gambo, Nick Scarpino, Samuel Scarpino, Vince Rodriguez, three great children Letty, Odin, Max and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn, parents, and stepfather.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Paul will be held alongside his wife JoAnn's Mass on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 12 pm at Nativity of Lord Parish, St. Louis. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 am until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NOTL Building Fund.
