CORYELL, LEE FRANK Haslett - -Age 84, died Sugustnday, Au 20, 2000, at Hospice House of M i d - Michigan. Lee was born in Lan-sing on June 11, 1916. He worked for the Lansing State Jour-nal for 50 years and retired at the age of 70. He was very active in sports up to a few months before his death and, through the years, played on state championship baseball, softball, basketball and bowling teams. He was inducted in the Michigan Ama-teur Softball Association Hall of Fame in 1987. He was an active member of St. Katherine's Episcopal Church. He was preteded in death by his two brothers, Fred and Glenn. Leels survived by his wife, Fran of Haslett; brother, Wesley of Baring, WA; and a combined family of 10 children, David (Jan) of LeRoy, Judy,, of Lansing, Susan (Mike) Maskill of Reed City, Dallas of Okem-os, Sandra (John) Krugler of Reed City; Diane Coryell of Weidman, Dana Nico. of Lansing, Jody (Bill) Wyman ;of Okemos, Victor (Mary) Nico of East Lansing and David (Jane) Nico of Williamston; plus -many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 24, 12:30 p.m. at St. Katherine's Epis-copal Church, 4650 N. Meridian Road, Okemos. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East' Lansing, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Those desiring may make contribu-tions to the Church; the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Avenue, Lansing 48906; or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, 1210 W. Saginaw, Lansing 48915, in memory of Lee.

Romeo Deal
Funeral services will be at p.m. Sunday in Crouse and Son Funeral Home, Johnstown, for Romeo Deal, 34, of Alexandria. The Rev, Clayton Peaslee will officiate;.with burial in Maplegrove Cemetery, Alexandria. Mr. Deal died Thursday afternoon in Licking County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was born March 20, 1934 in! Huntington, W. Va., to Eddie L. and Dixie Wells Deal. He had lived in Ohio for the past 13 years. He was a 'member, of Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department and had served the Army from 1953 to 1955. He was employed as a fireman for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, Columbus. Surviving are his wife, Anna Jane Kean Deal of the home; five children: Jerry Lee, Cynthia, Robert, Phillip and Deborah, all of the home; his mother, of Raceland, Ky., and a half-brother, Ed Deal of Milton, W. Va. Friends may call after 7 this evening in the funeral home.
