Bluffton Doloris E. Hemry, 77, died at 8:18 p.m. March 27, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Dec. 30, 1934, in Columbus Grove to Jesse Franklin and Laura Marie Hartman Mumea, who preceded her in death. On July 5, 1963, she married Roger L. Hemry, who died May 1, 1998. Mrs. Hemry was a member of North Shore Animal League, the Sierra Club and Feature Films for Families. She was a member of Tri-County Family Assembly of God, Bluffton. She wrote poetry and short stories. She loved music, dancing and especially spending time with her family. Survivors include four sons, Dennis (Rose) Dearth, of Bradenton, Fla., Donald Dearth, of Bluffton, Roger (Sandra) Hemry, of Portland Ore., and Vincent (Deb) Hemry, of Bluffton; three daughters, Deborah (Steve) Smith, of Ottawa, Chris (Rick) Lawhorn, of Cloverdale, and Dawn (Ronald) Bailey, of Ottawa; a sister, Pat (Chuck) Dawson, of Spencerville; a brother-in-law, Jack Calvin, of Monroe, Mich.; and 33 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Janice Ilene and Patsy Ruth Mumea and Betty Calvin; a brother, Bill Mumea; and a daughter-in-law, Jackie Dearth. Services will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at Tri-County Family Assembly of God, Bluffton. Pastor Terry Hunt will officiate. Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Allen or Hancock County animal shelters.

LEIPSIC � Eugene L. Steffen, 75, of Leipsic died at 11:32 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 18, 1941 in Leipsic to the late Leo and Clara (Wallen) Steffen. On October 28, 1961 he married Rita Ream who died September 27, 2013.
He is survived by five children: Laura (Scott) Schroeder and Larry Steffen both of Leipsic, Lynne (James) Bowers of Kalida, Leann Steffen and Lajean (Troy) Meyer both of Leipsic; thirteen grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister: LouAnn Kerner of Leipsic.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Delories Meyer.
Eugene worked at Tenneco in Napoleon. He was a member of the Leipsic Fraternal Order of Eagles and Miller City Sportsman�s Club.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Deacon Doyle Erford officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Miller City. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Heart Association.

Leipsic - Rita K. Steffen, 73, of Leipsic died 8:05 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 12, 1940 in Defiance to the late Reid "Dutch" and Juanita (Brecheisen) Ream. On October 28, 1961, she married Eugene Steffen who survives in Leipsic.
Rita is also survived by her 5 children: Laura (Scott) Schroeder and Larry Steffen both of Leipsic; Lynne (James) Bowers of Kalida; Leann Lambert and Lajean (Troy) Meyer both of Leipsic; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister: Susie (Ronnie) Goller of Defiance; and 2 brothers-in-law: Hubert Hancock and Dan Curl both of Defiance. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters: Elta Hancock and Verda Curl.
Rita was a homemaker. She attended St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Miller City. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her grandkids.
A funeral service will begin 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Deacon Tom Niese officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Catholic Church Cemetery, Miller City. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or to the family.

Herbert Blyth Peterson, 89, of Custar, Ohio, died early Monday morning, August 10, 2015 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Deshler, Ohio.
He was born May 9, 1926 in Custar to the late Edward and Phoebe (Blyth) Peterson. On April 22, 1947 he married Norma Mae Snyder in North Baltimore, Ohio.
Herbert was a lifelong farmer. He was also a minister at Trinity Fellowship Church, Weston, Ohio for over seven years.
He was a member of Custar United Methodist Church and the Christian Businessmen�s Association, Bowling Green, Ohio, where he served as vice-president.
While a resident of Oak Grove Healthcare Center, he would lead bible study classes. Herb was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and enjoyed collecting die-cast farm tractors.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma; sons, Donald (Kathy) Peterson, Salisbury, North Carolina; Larry (Linda) Peterson, Custar; Herbert �Skip� (Judy) Peterson, Fletcher, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Tracy Peterson, Findlay, Ohio; special nephew, Rick (Phyllis) Sidle, Jenera, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward Peterson and Michael Peterson and three sisters, Berneda Murphy, Dorothy Sidle and Nancy Francisco.
Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Milton Township Cemetery, Custar, with Pastor Garry Yarbrough officiating.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
The family suggests memorials to Food for the Hungry.
