Obituary:
Paul M. Gudakunst, 50, died at 11:50 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 19, 1958, in Lima to Frank and Catherine Bendele Gudakunst. His father and stepmother, Marilyn, survive in Defiance. His mother survives in Ottoville. On Aug. 27, 1977, he married Renee Wannemacher, who survives in Ottoville.
Mr. Gudakunst was a cook at Lock 16 and the Lima Elks Club. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville. He was a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Grover Hill. He enjoyed cooking and being with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors also include a son, Erik Gudakunst, at home; three daughters, Kerri Gudakunst, at home, Tara (Chad) Eickholt, of Ottoville, and Erin Gudakunst, at home; four grandchildren, Jordan Gudakunst, Damien Gudakunst, Miah Grinner and Kira Grinner; a brother, Gary Gudakunst, of Ottoville; and two sisters, Jan Gudakunst, of Ottoville, and Susie Grime, of Van Wert.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tate Grinner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville. Father John Stites will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Jackson Township, where a Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Obituary:
Robert Arden "Mr. B" or "RAB" Braden, 86, 307 Kuck St., New Knoxville, died Aug. 27, 2003, at Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, St. Marys.
He was born April 27, 1917, in Wellsburg, W. Va., to Frances Ethel and John Ludwig Braden. On June 26, 1948, he married Joyce Lucille Abell who is deceased.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Jr. (Drena) of Oberlin, Chuck (Judy) of New Knoxville, and Jon of Wapakoneta; three daughters, Susan Day, Charlotte, N.C., Debra Neal, Charleston, S.C., and Beth of New Knoxville; a twin sister, Ellen Wilson, Mentor; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, James, Ralph, Gerald and Charles, are deceased.
A teacher and coach for 38 years, he worked at school districts in McComb, Rawson, Vermilion, Clyde and Ashtabula. His coaching career included football, basketball, track and wrestling, with stints as junior high football coach at Minster and New Bremen and track coach at New Knoxville. He was a 1941 graduate of Findlay College and had earned a master's degree from Case Western Reserve University.
Private services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville, the Rev. Mitch Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the Robert A. Braden Scholarship Fund.
