KALIDA � Mr. and Mrs. James T. Recker, of Kalida, will celebrate 50 years of marriage April 4, 2014. A family vacation is planned for a later date.
Recker and the former Diane Kahle were married April 4, 1964 at St. Michael�s Catholic Church, in Kalida, by Father Melchior Lochtefeld.
They are the parents of six children: Kelley Recker, Nancy (Mike) Erhart, Scott (Lori) Recker, Eric (Denise) Recker, Emily (Brian) Wehri and Becky (Kyle) Unverferth. They have nine grandchildren.

MARVIN W. FUERST KALIDA - Marvin W. Fuerst, 46, a truckdriver for Wilson Transportation Co.. Ottawa, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday while working. Although the death apparently was due to natural causes. Dr. Arthur Daniel, Putnam County coroner, has ordered an autopsy. Born Dec. 6, 1929, in Columbus Grove, he was a son of William and Catherine Meyer Fuerst, who survive at Rt. 1, Columbus Grove. In 1950. he married Frances Gerding, who sur-vives. Also surviving are three daughters. Mrs. Jeffery (Elizabeth) Schuetzner ofthicago, Ill., Susan and Christine, !loth at home: five sons. Roger of Rt. 4. Ottawa, Gary of Chicago. Ill., Phil-lip, Timmy and Randy, all at home: a granddaughter: two brothers, Maurice of Florida. and Karl of Rt. 1, Columbus Grove: and two sisters, Mrs_ Alice Niese of Leipsic, and Mrs. Jim (Bernice) Unterbrink of lit. 4, Ottawa. He was a former employe of Ex-Cell-0 Corp., Lima, and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society of the church and Teamsters Local 908. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m_ Friday at the church, Rev. 114i-,bert Eilerman officiating. Burial Will be in the church cemetery_ Friends may call after 7 tonight in the McCrate Funeral Home, Ottawa, where the parish wake service will be at, 8:15 pm Thursday.

Obituary:
SWARTZ ADELE MYRA SWARTZ (nee Pesek), 85 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at New Life Hospice Center following a lengthy illness. She was born October 30, 1926 in Parma, Ohio. Adele was raised in Parma and graduated from Parma High School in the class of 1945. She had made her home in Amherst since 1963. Adele was a loving homemaker and was also employed as a part-time teacher's aide at Amherst Schools where she was active in the Athletic Booster Club. She volunteered during election time working at the polls. Adele was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Amherst where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Altar Guild. Survivors include her sons Jesse F. "Doc" Swartz IV and his wife Jane of Medina, John D. Swartz of Amherst, James M. Swartz and his wife Margaret of Auburn, New York; her daughters Janesy Gravelin and her husband David of Port Charlotte, Florida, Judith Henderson of Cincinnati; her twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her brother and his wife John D. and Harriet Pesek of Mancelona, Michigan; and sister-in-law Lillian Pesek of Parma Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years Jesse F. Swartz III; her brother Myron R. Pesek Jr.; and by her parents Myron R. and Adele Pesek (nee: Dieterich). Services were held privately by the family. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice. HEMPEL FUNERAL HOME OF AMHERST is honored to serve the family of Adele Swartz.
