DONALD W. CLANCY, beloved husband of Eileen (nee Wortman), died July 25, 2006. He was born in New York City on Nov. 11, 1927; graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and Fordham University. Donald served with the U.S. Army in Korea from 1945-1947. As a special agent for the FBI he was assigned to offices in Seattle, Cleveland and New York from 1951- 1961. He retired from the Credit Bureau of Cleveland in 1988. He was the loving father of Mary Jo Englehart(Thomas), James (Carolyn), Kathleen Ed- munds (Gillette), Timothy (Mindy), Lorraine Feher (Robert), Carol Clancy; and grandchildren Julia and Daniel Englehart, Cassandra, Kelly and Kevin Clancy, Oliver Edmunds and John Minek. Funeral Mass, Friday, July 28, St. Bernadette Church (2256 Clague Rd.) at 10 a.m. Friends may call in the McGORRAY BRO. FUNERAL HOME OF WESTLAKE, 25620 CENTER RIDGE RD. Leo Dwyer
ORRVILLE -- Leo F. "Lee" Dwyer, 83, 1490 Willard Drive, died Sunday morning, March 23, 2003, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, after a long period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Christ United Church of Christ in Orrville, with the Rev. Randall Gehres officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, where military rites will be observed.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 301 N. Main St., Orrville 44667.
Lee was born July 12, 1919, in West Liberty, Iowa, to Thomas and Margaret (Fromer) Dwyer and married Mary Catherine Ott on Feb. 28, 1942, in Lebanon, Pa. She died Dec. 13, 1998.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a staff sergeant with Battery A 135th Field Artillery Battalion in the South Pacific Theater.
He was owner/operator of Lee's Tree Service for 29 years and then was a rural route mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Orrville, Orrville American Legion and was a member and past commander of Orrville Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the Riceland Golf League. He was a former Little League coach in Orrville and a Cub Scout den leader in Marshallville.
Surviving are children, Tom (Maureen) Dwyer of Medina, Terry Dwyer of Orrville and Maryjo (Patrick) Landers of Stow; grandchildren, Anne Marie Everett, Kelly Kathleen Dwyer, Catlin Mary Dwyer, Sara Elizabeth Dwyer, Nickolas Andrew Dwyer, Erin Francis Landers and Emilee Kathleen Landers; great-grandchildren, Cody Anthony Everett and Keith Joseph Everett; a brother, Lawrence (Mary) Dwyer of Muscataine, Iowa; and sisters, Josephine Pulver of Davenport, Iowa , Theresa (Howard) Bowers of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Lucille (Frank) Albert of Bloomington, Ind.
In addition to his wife, brothers, William and George and an infant brother, David, and sisters, Lillian VanLuvender and Mary Woodworth, previously.
