ALCORN, Velta - Of Davison, age 73, died Monday, April 12, 2004 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, April 17, 2004 at Groves Chapel, Hansen Funeral Home 421 N. Main. Pastor Scott Southerland officiating. Private burial will fol-low at Flint Memorial Park. Fami-ly will receive visitors from LOAM till time of services. Contri-butions are being made to Paws with a Cause, an assistance dogs provider for people with disabili-ties. Born in Flint, April 6, 1931 the daughter of Henry and Opal (Hopkins) Stanfill. Join in mar-riage to Harry Otis Alcorn and he preceded her in death. Veita worked for the Flint Board of Ed-ucation for many years and later became a foster parent and home daycare provider. She loved children and animals. Sur-viving are daughters: April and husband Ted Mazzoni of Holt, Elaine Talison of AL.; grandchil-dren, Tayna Cerna, Sandy Mazzoni, Serina Mazzoni and Alex Mazzoni; great grandchil-dren, Felicia Woods, Alyssa Cerna, and Katarina Cerna. Preceeded in death by her pa-rents Henry and Opal Stanfill
