Obituary:
Michael Paul Reiman, 59, of Defiance, passed away on January 15, 2015 at the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio.
He was born on May 30, 1955 to Paul and Juanita (Leopold) Reiman in Defiance. Mike worked at Johns Manville for 41 years at the downtown plant as a pot puller. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, AmVets, and VFW. Mike loved to golf, and was a member of the Elks Mens Golf League.
Michael is survived by his mother, Juanita Reiman of Defiance, sister, Barbara Reiman of Dublin, Ohio, and half-brother, Greg Reiman of Defiance.
He was preceded in death by father, Paul Reiman.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating.
The family requests donations be directed to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences can be given at

Carole L. Derrow, 80, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012, after a brief illness.
She was born on November 4, 1931, the daughter of the late Albert and Leona (Andrist) Sisco. Carole attended Defiance High School, and graduated from Galion High School "Class of 49." In 1953, she married Richard Holtshouse, in 1958 she married Paul Reiman, and in 1977 she married Jim Derrow, all preceding her in death. While she was married to Paul Reiman, they owned and operated the Scenic Supper Club, Florida Ohio. They later purchased the Glass Bar, Stryker, where they owned and operated for many years. Carole had just returned from Florida where she spent the winters with her many friends. Carole enjoyed dancing, swimming, and playing bridge. She was also a member of the Defiance Elk's Lodge Auxillary, and the VFW Post 3360 Auxillary.
Surviving is a daughter, Deb (Rod) Lucas, Antwerp, and a son, Greg (Jacie) Reiman, Defiance; seven grandchildren, Dustin and Steve Lucas, both of Antwerp; Cheri Baer, Grover Hill; Paige Reiman, Las Vegas Nev.; Blake, Brock, and Jaide Reiman, all of Defiance; six great-grandachildren, McCartney Lucas, Nick Stevenson, Doug Kashner, Coty and Danielle Baer and Landon Reiman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce Wichman.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 11, 2012, from 4- 8 p.m. in Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, with Rev. Paul Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.

KALIDA - Mrs. Elizabeth Wehri, 80, died 2:50 p.m. Tuesday in the Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale.
Born Nov. 2, 1891, in Glandorf, she was the daughter of Frank and Bernadina Larbes Leopold. She married Bernard Wehri in August, 1913, and he died in 1959. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Herman (Bernadine) Verhoff of Columbus Grove, Mrs. Robert (Ann) Shafer of here and Mrs. Romus (Marie Looser of Rt. 3, Ottawa); a son, Claus Hoffman of here; a sister, Mrs. Anna Hermiller of Columbus Grove; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Sodality. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the church, Rev. Herbert Eilerman, celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at McCrate Funeral Home, Ottawa.

RAYMOND HENTGES RITES TOMORROW
Funeral services for Ray Hentges. one of the victims of the fatal truck crash south of town yesterday. will be held Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the St. Michaels Church in Findlay.. Friends may call at the Barnhart Funeral Home in Findlay this evening.
The rites will be military and will be in charge of the American Legion.
Raymond Hentges was a. native of this community being born to Joseph and Catherine Hentges thirty-six years ago on a farm a few miles north of Bowling Green. He attended Bowling Green high school and was graduated from there in 1921. During World War II he served as a truck driver with the Seventh Infantry Division and saw action in the European Theatre. He was married to Mary Lou Wortman. of Findlay in 1938, and has since resided in that city. Surviving are his wlfe and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Theresa Schwab. Oswald and Lawrence, of Bowling Green, Mrs. Guy Schultz and Herman, of Toledo, Mrs. Clarence Feehan of Merrill, Michigan, Mrs. Wm. Maas of Ottawa 0., and 1 Jacob, of Weston.
