Obituary:
Esther M. Allgyre, age 83, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday May 5, 2011, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. She was born March 26, 1928 in St. Stephens, to Roman and Agnes (Dannimiller) Dentinger. On April 23, 1949 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, she married Earl F. Allgyre, and he survives in Bloomville. Other survivors include: three sons, Joseph (Rebecca) Allgyre, Stephen (Jan) Allgyre, Robert Allgyre all of Attica; two daughters, Shirley (John) Kostyo of Findlay, Joyce (Donald Jr.)Reer of Shelby; eleven grandchildren, Stephen & Annelise Kostyo, Kimberly (Nicholas) Smith, Jessica, Christopher, Jacqueline Allgyre, Jillian & Zachary Allgyre, Eric Allgyre, and Mikayla & Douglas Reer; a great-granddaughter, Addisson Smith; two brothers, Leonard (Fern) Dentinger, Raymond (Maryann) Dentinger both of Bloomville; and a sister, Mrs. Dora Feck of Carey. She was preceded in death by her parents Roman & Agnes Dentinger. Mrs. Allgyre was a homemaker, and also had worked at General Electric in Tiffin as a winder. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, and a 1946 Graduate of Bloomville High School. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Stein Hospice or to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

Obituary:
HEADY, M. NEEL—Of Somerset Center, formerly of Leesburg, FL, passed away at W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital Friday, December 2, 2005, aged 84 years. Neel was born July 15, 1921 in Ballard Co., KY to Julian and Neva (Neel) Heady. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lois (Hunter) Heady; son, Doug (Kathy) Heady of Ann Arbor; daughter, Patty Valentine of Somerset Center; three grandchildren, Bryon Gloden of West Lafayette, IN, Derek Gloden of Ft. Lewis, WA and Kevin Gloden of Saginaw; sister-in-law, Jackie Hunter of Vandercook Lake; local niece, Kathy "Hunter" Higgins; and nephew, Bill Hunter; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Jerry Rodeman. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eva Carroll. Neel retired after 34 years of service with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was an active member in the Lions Club in Clermont-Minneola, FL, a member of the South Jackson Community Church serving in various duties. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at South Jackson Community Church, 1024 W. Kimmel Rd., Jackson, MI 49204, Saturday, December 10 at 4:00 p.m. The Reverend Joseph Fralick officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

HELSEN, DOROTHY MAE Mrs. Dorothy Mae (Mansfield) Helsen age 85, of Ravenna died, Saturday, June 8, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born on December 14, 1927 in Ravenna, MI to the late Henry "Joe" and Hazel (Blackmer) Mansfield. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a life-long member of St. Catherines Catholic Church, Altar Society and Ravenna American Legion Auxiliary. She married Isidore "Ike"on on October 6, 1948 in Ravenna, MI. He preceded her in death after 60 years of marriage on September 25, 2009. Dorothy is survived by her ten children: Michael (Laurie) Helsen, Steven Helsen, Randolph (Barb) Helsen, Debra (Bruce) Braspenninx, Mary (Ken) Patterson, Jean (Gary) Smoes, Mark (Julie) Helsen, Ruth (Adam) Pyman, Paul (Ann) Helsen, and Gregory (Karen) Helsen; sister: Marilyn (Monte) O'Brien; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Helen) Helsen, Eugene (Margaret) Helsen and Arthur Klein; sisters-in-law, Bernadine (Vincent) Klein and Josephine (James) Piccard; 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband by: special uncle Tom Fisher, grandson Brian Braspenninx and granddaughter-in-law, Victoria (Walter) Patterson. Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherines Catholic Church with Father Fred Brucker celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherines Cemetery. The family will be at the St. Catherines Hall on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 PM to receive friends. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM with the Ladies from the Altar Society. Also on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials may be directed to: St. Catherines Endowment Fund, Ravenna Community Educational Foundation or the Ravenna American Legion. Obituary:
Richard C. "Dick" Winslow, 77, of Norwalk, Ohio, died early Sunday Morning, November 23, 2008 in the Stein Hospice Care Center. He was born October 29, 1931 in Huron County, Ohio to the late Clessen J. and Mildred (Scheid) Winslow and was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1949 graduate of Monroeville High School where he had been the in Band, Orchestra, F.F.A. and was active in 4-H. Dick was a member and former deacon of the United Church of Christ in Monroeville, Ohio and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany during the Korean War. He served on the Monroeville School Board from 1970 to 1977 and from 1984 to 1987 and had been Board President for 5 years. Dick was a long time member of the Monroeville Athletic Booster Club and served as its president in 1967 and 1968 and had been awarded the Distinguished School Board President Award from the Monroeville Schools teaching staff. He had also served on the EHOVE and Huron School Boards for 4 years. Dick was a member and former Adjutant of American Legion Post #547, Monroeville and was also a member and former Vice Commander of Firelands Post #2743Veterans of Foreign Wars, Norwalk, Ohio. Dick was an active member of the Color Guard and felt compelled to provide Military Graveside Services for Veterans. Dick had also given many speeches and presentations on Americanism to many area schools. He was a former member of Roby Lodge #534, Monroeville, the Monroeville Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Monroeville Kiwanis Club. Dick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty L. (Sweet) Winslow of Norwalk, Ohio and by his daughters and sons in law, Susan and Tom McDermott of Marion, Ohio and Karen and Steve Reer of Monroeville, Ohio and by his sons and daughters in law, Richard C. and Susan Winslow, Jr. of Troy, Michigan, Timothy and Diane Winslow of Willard, Ohio and Jeffrey Winslow of
Huron, Ohio, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 Step Grandchildren and 6 Step Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and sister in law, John and Joyce Winslow of Gloucester, Virginia. Dick was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Reer and by his sister, Rita Wixom. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Wayne Chesney will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio. Military Graveside services will be conducted by Firelands Post #2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post #547, Monoreville. Betty L. (Sweet) Winslow, 83, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born March 24, 1932, in Norwalk to the late Myron and Ellen E. (O’Dell) Sweet, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a member of the Monroeville United Church of Christ, Monroeville, and supported the Monroeville High School Athletic Boosters Club. Betty enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, playing Bingo, crossword puzzles, bowling, and was an avid sports fan.
She is survived by her children, Susan McDermitt of Marion, Ohio, Richard (Susan) Winslow of Troy, Mich., Karen (Steve) Reer of Norwalk, Tim (Diane) Winslow of Willard and Jeff (Jennifer) Winslow of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Betty is also survived by her grandchildren, Krista Appeman, Zac Reer, Ty Reer, Katy Wrabel, Bryan Winslow, Nick Winslow, Nate Winslow, Noah Winslow and Carin Nardecchia; by her brother, Mike Sweet of Monroeville; by nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. “Dick” Winslow, in 2008; by her brothers, Charles (Chuck) Sweet and Don Sweet; and by her grandson, Joshua Reer.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17. The Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
