VERENA C. MANDERY
FORT JENNINGS - Funeral services for Verena C. Mandery, 74, of Fort Jennings, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fort Jennings, the Rev. Herman Fortman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be today at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 8:30p.m. today.
Mrs. Mandery died at 9 p.m. Tuesday at Calvery Manor, Route 4, Ottawa.
She was born June 26, 1907, in Fort Jennings to Andrew and Adelia (Wortman) Ricker. On June 15, 1937, she married Francis C Mandery, and he survives.
Also surviving are twin daughters, Mrs. James (Jean) Hilvers, Ottoville; Mrs. Norman (Jane) Kreinbrink, Findlay; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Fortman. Kalida, and a brother, Raymond, Ottawa.
Mrs. Mandery was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, its altar rosary society, and the Leatherwood Garden Club. Fort Jennings.

Robert Horstman
CLOVERDALE - A funeral Mass for Robert T. Horstman. 73. of Cloverdale, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Barbara's Catholic Ctorth, Cloverdale, the Rev. Robert Kill officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m today and from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where an Eagles service will be held at 7:30 pm today, followed by a Knights of Columbus service at 8 p.m. A parish wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr_ Horstman died at 4:40 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born April 1, 1928. in Cloverdale to Joseph and Edna (Ricker) Horstman. He married Ruth Ann Unverferth on Nov. 22. 1951, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ted of Ottoville; Rick of Cloverdale; a daughter, Mrs. Michael "Jake" (Kathy) Bowers, Cloverdale; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David; a daughter, Denise Horstman; and a brother, Roger 'Rocky,'
Mr. Horstman was a farmer and retired from Dot Trucking. Lima. He also was retired from Teamsters of Lima.
He was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, Elks, Moose and Eagles, all of Lima; Ottawa Eagles and Lions Club and Knights of Columbus, both of KaLida.
Memorials may be made to Putnam County Home Health or American Cancer Society.

KALIDA Lawrence G. Unverferth, 69, of Rt. 1, Ft. Jennings, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday in St. Rita's Hospital following an extended illness. Born May 7, 1893 in Glandorf, he was a son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Meyers) Unverferth. Surviving are his wife, Loretta, three sons, Virgil, Richard and Donald, all of Kalida; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Marietta) Smith of Fostoria, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary Edith) Winkle of Continental, Mrs. Robert (Ruth Ann) Horstman of Cloverdale, Mrs. Harold (Julitta) Selhorst of Kalida and Mrs. Ronald (Erma) Kahle of Columbus Grove; two brothers, Leo and Alfred, both of Rt. 1, Ft. Jennings; three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Frances) Potts of Kalida, Mrs. Sarah Erhart of Kalida and Mrs. Leona Hamilton of Ft. Jennings; 32 grandchildren; and one great - grandchild. Mr. Unverferth was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kalida where Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Hartman Sons Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.

KALIDA - Loretta Underferth, 83, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima. Born July 3, 1893, in Kalida, she was a daughter of John and Anna Gulker Quinn. She married Lawrence Underferth on Oct. 7, 1914, and he died in 1962. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Harold (Marietta) Smith of Fostoria, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary Edith) Winkle of Continental, Mrs. Robert (Ruth Ann) Horstman of Cloverdale, Mrs. Harold (Julitta) Selhorst, Mrs. Ronald (Irma) Kahle and Helen Underferth, all of here; three sons, Virgil, Richard and Donald, all of here; 40 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Quinn of here. She was a member of St_ Michael Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Sodality. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, Rev. Herbert Eilerman officiating.
