APPLETON - Robert H. Miller, 54, died at 10:30 Tuesday morning at his home of a self-inflicted rifle wound. Coroner Bernard Kemps and Sheriff Robert Heinritz, Outagamie County, said he took his own life. Miller. who owned and operated the South Greenville Cheese Factory for the past 25 years, was born Sept. 2, 1904. at East Bloomfield in the Town of Wolf River. Prior to purchasing the cheese factory he was employed by Marten's Dairy. Mr. Miller was a member of the Cheesemakers Association. Besides his wife, Marie, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert Kargus, Menasha; Mrs. James Schilleman, Phoenix, Ariz., and Bonnie at home; one son. Gerald P. Miller, at home; one brother, Arthur Miller, Rt. 2, Fremont; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Larsen, Appleton, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 o'clock at Kessler Funeral Home by the Rev. 0. Sommer. pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Towns of Clayton and Greenville. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Friends may call at Kessler Funeral Home after 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon.

Shirley V. Doepker, age 87, of Seymour, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. She was born on September 21, 1935 a daughter of the late Michael and Elsie (Eckert) Franckowiak.
On November 12, 1955 she united in marriage to Albert H. Doepker in Greenleaf. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2013.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Seymour.
Survivors include her children: Mark Doepker, Mary Jo Gordon, Mike Doepker, Janet (Ron) Stellmacher, John Doepker, Sharon (Dan) Carmody, and Karen Doepker; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Audrey Doepker. She is also survived by special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tom Doepker; sister, Lois (Clarence) Pike; and brother, Bernard (Nancy) Franckowiak.
Following Shirley's wishes, private services will be held with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.

Born: November 20, 1952 in Seymour, WI
Died: May 29, 2022 in Bull Valley, IL
Thomas Charles Doepker was born in Seymour, WI on November 20, 1952, son of the late Albert Doepker and Peggy Weiss. He was proud to work beside his father for years at Doepker's Bakery in Seymour, WI. In 1975, he graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI, and then headed South to Chicago to attend Roosevelt University. Later that year, he met the love of his life Audrey Plinske and they were married on November 26, 1977, in Mount Prospect, IL. They moved to Bull Valley, IL in 1988 where they would raise their four children Amy, Tom, Laura, and Will. In 1984, Thomas founded Advanced Seal Technology which he owned and operated until his passing. Thomas was a kind and generous man and was a longtime member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in McHenry, IL.
Thomas is survived by his wife Audrey of 44 years; four children Amy (Brad) Trotter of Grand Blanc, MI, Thomas (Kerisa) Doepker and their children Leeland and Leyton of Wonder Lake, IL, Laura (Kevin) Eaton of Tampa, FL, and William Doepker of Elwood, IL; stepmother Shirley Doepker; siblings Mark Doepker, Mary Jo Gordon, Mike Doepker, Janet (Ron) Stellmacher, John Doepker, Sharon (Dan) Carmody, Karen Doepker; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sue and Jim Tobin.
He was preceded in death by his father Albert Doepker, his mother Peggy Weiss, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Clifford and Elaine Plinske.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend.
A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
