Obituary:
Jack H. Giel, 58, Rogersville, passed away at 6:20 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2006 in his home, after a brief, difficult battle with cancer.
He was born May 17, 1948 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Jack and Marilyn (Hays) Giel. He and his family moved to Sacramento, California when he was 8 years old. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and attended Sacramento State, earning a B.S. degree in Business Administration.
Jack was a millwright most of his adult life, and a member of the Millwrights Union. He most recently worked at the Springfield-Branson Airport as a ground services agent.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl; a step-son, David Silva; his parents, Jack and Marilyn Giel; and a brother, Earl Giel, all of Sacramento, CA; a sister, Anne Giel-Mazzoni and her husband John, Paradise, CA;; a sister-in-law, Sally Kirkpatrick and her husband Bill, Rogersville; a brother-in-law, Jim Patrick and his wife Jan, St. George, Utah; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2006 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO under direction of J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Visitation will be held from 3 - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2006 in the funeral home.
The family request memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.

GORRELL, DOUGLAS STEPHEN
Douglas Stephen Gorrell was born to Gale and Jessie Gorrell on March 25,1947 in Cook County, Illinois. He passed away on February 15, 2011. He joined the Marine Corps in 1964 until 1978. He was deployed to the C&E Battalion. He was a Vietnam veteran. He joined Raytheon Missile Systems in 1978. He and family lived in Iran, Jordan, Uae and Bahrain for 33 years. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jerene, and their daughter, Angela; his previous wife, Shirley J. Carrington; their son, Gary S. Gorrell (wife Heather, daughter Abagail Gorrell); their daughter, Meliane J. San Nicolas (daughter Heather Buckner and her children Lexi A. Buckner and Lilly M. Lopez; son Christian San Nicolas; and daughter Holly San Nicolas); his brothers, Jerry Gorrell (wife Jennie) and William Gorrell (son Matthew); and his sister Phyllis Matasow (husband David, sons Justin and Christopher). Douglas will be buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, CA, on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 9 a.m.
