Sharon Kay (Skornicka) Kurncz, age 62, of Owosso, MI passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Father Gerald Frawley will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday May 14, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Sharon was born in Owosso, Michigan on July 17, 1949, the daughter of Bernard and Isabelle (Herrick) Minnick, Sr. and resided all of her life in Owosso. Sharon married Steve Kurncz on July 19, 2000 in St. Johns, MI.
Sharon was employed at Woodard's of Owosso. She loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. Sharon also enjoyed traveling up north and to the Upper Peninsula.
She is survived by her husband Steve Kurncz of Owosso, MI; 2 sons Thomas and Coleen Skornicka, Jr. of Ortonville, MI; Timothy and Dawn Skornicka of Corunna, MI; 2 daughters Stephanie Kurncz of Lansing, MI; Karle and Steve Fata of Lansing, MI; 3 grandchildren Ashlyn Skornicka Frazier, Thomas Skornicka III and Dylan Tantalo; brother Bernard and Robin Minnick of Owosso, MI; dear niece Charlene Gokee. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sherry Skornicka, sister Sherline Rohde and a brother Ernie Minnick.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

Robert Williams Wurm
Robert Williams Wurm, 83, of Elizabethtown died Monday January 20, 2014 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was a native of Lorain, OH and retired from the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Wurm and Cora Burford Shagovac. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Wurm; daughter, Paula (Mike) Mullins of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Jeremy Wurm and Holly Williamson; and two great-grandchildren, James Williamson and Caleb Wurm. Mary J. Montgomery, 74, of Norwalk, Ohio, died early Thursday morning, August 25, 2011 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
She was born November 15, 1936 in Milan, Ohio to the late Calvin J. and Agatha C. (Eslinger) Dailey and was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1954 graduate of Milan High School. Mary was a former employee of Morrow's Foodland and Market in Monroeville, and the Quality Food Store in Norwalk, Ohio.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Gene M. and Pamela M. Cherry, II, of Norwalk, Ohio, Keith P. Cherry, of Monroeville, Ohio, Paul B. and Janine Cherry, of Crestline, Ohio, by her daughters and sons in law, Regina K. and Robin Hite of Monroeville, Ohio, Mary Elizabeth and William Simon, of Norwalk, Ohio, and Patricia J. Cherry and Jeff Wallen, of Monroeville, Ohio. She is also survived by her foster son, R. Gary Sands of Perrysburg, Ohio, by her sister and brother in law, Patricia and William Armbrecht, of Sandusky, Ohio, by 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and by her former daughter in law, Sharon Cherry of Willard. She was preceded in death by her brother Calvin J. Dailey, Jr.
Friends may call Friday, August 26, 2011 5:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Frank Kehres will officiate. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Milan, Ohio.
