O'BRIEN, JACK F. Greenville Formerly of Lansing Age 81, passed away December 3, 1997. Jack was born May 18, 1916 in Lansing, MI the son of John and Florence (Magley) O'Brien. He re-tired in 1966 as a Captain of the Lansing Fire Department. Jack is survived by his 5 sons, Patrick, Mi-chael, James, Robert and Thomas; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Gorman) O'Brien on May 25, 1994. Catholic Funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Satur-day, December 6, 1997 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Green-ville. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with a Rosary re-cited at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Memo-rial contributions can be made to the Greenville Public Library or to the Greenville High School Audito-rium, and sent to Marshall Funeral Home, 420 W. Grove, Greenville, MI 48838.

Patrick John O�Brien, 82, of Grand Rapids, MI formerly of Greenville passed away Thursday June 4, 2020 at home with his family. Patrick was born on December 9, 1937 in Lansing, MI to Jack and Francis O�Brien. He graduated from Lansing Resurrection High School in 1956. Pat served in the U.S. Marine Corps and then worked for the Lansing Fire Department. Pat and his wife Judith moved to a farm in Gowen, MI in 1967 and four years later he moved to Greenville where they raised their family. He worked for Gibson Sales for 10 years, later becoming National Sales Manager at Northland Refrigeration for 24 years and retired in 2000. Patrick�s community involvement included membership in the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Athletic Director of St. Charles school along with a basketball coach at St. Charles. Pat served as a Mentor at Greenville Public Schools and was a longtime member at the former Greenville Country Club. Pat and Judy were also very generous with their philanthropy. Pat loved spending time with his family, attending his children and grandchildren�s sporting events and school activities. Pat enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing and traveling with his family and friends. Patrick is survived by his wife of 59 years Judith O�Brien. His children Kevin (Shelley) O�Brien, of Traverse City; Tim (Amy) O�Brien, of Greenville; Peggy (Craig) Dorgan, of Allegan. His grandchildren Kaila George (Josh Colson), Olivia (Tiago) Andrade, Quinn Dorgan (Maria Michelle), Patrick O�Brien, Sean O�Brien, Erin O�Brien (Brian Borgmeyer), Megan O�Brien, Colin Dorgan. Patrick is proceeded in death by his parents Jack and Francis O�Brien. His brothers James and Robert O�Brien and his daughter Kelli O�Brien. An outdoor Celebration of Life with a luncheon to follow will be held on Saturday, June 20 at Taylor Hops Farm, the former Greenville Country Club clubhouse site, 925 S. Marvel, Greenville, MI. Visitation 10:00 AM, Patrick O�Brien�s Celebration of Life 11:00 with a luncheon to follow. Marshal Funeral Home is serving the O�Brien family. Memories and messages of condolences may be shared via marshallfuneralhomeinc.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the O�Brien Community Needs Endowment at the Greenville Area Community Foundation. Grants will benefit education, health, and basic needs in the area.

Garrison-Gorman Rites Solemnized
Miss Mary Anne Garrison, 2014 Beal ave., and Keith W. Gorman exchanged wedding vows Friday evening in St. Mary's rectory. Rev. Fr. William Hankerd officiated. The bride is the daughter of Ross W. Garrison of the Wentworth hotel and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gregory F. Gorman, 1127 W. Michigan ave. For her wedding, the bride wore a forest green suit with rust and beige accessories. Her corsage was an orchid. Mrs. Eugene D. Briggs, matron of honor, was dressed in a dusty pink suit. She had navy blue accessories and a corsage of roses. Eugene D. Briggs served the bridegroom as best man. Following the ceremony 200 guests were received at the Home Dairy banquet room which was decorated with fall flowers. The refreshment table was centered by an arrangement of sweet peas and fall flowers. The couple will be at home at 2014 Beal ave.

Age 91, died on July 9, 2014. Born on November 14, 1922. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved life, her family and her Catholic faith and she will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Neal and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Neal. Surviving to cherish her memory are her five daughters, Mary V. (Ron) Jean, Margaret (Theodore) Dixon, Michele Brown, Maureen (Glen) McAlpine and Melissa (Terry) Neal-Hardy; four sons, Morris (Brenda) Neal, Miles Neal, Michael (Kellie) Neal and Mark (Rhonda) Neal; twenty two grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 2:00~4:00 PM and 6:00~8:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E.
